Y/N's eyes slowly opened to see the morning light pour through the windows. She turned on her side, pulling the blanket further up her torso. It took a second to realize that she somehow had a blanket on top of her.

She looked around, seeing that she had fallen asleep on the couch. She stretched her arms above her head with a yawn.

Jack wasn't in the living room, but the TV was still on. Y/N flipped up the blanket in search of the remote, which was nowhere to be seen.

Her eyes traveled around the living room until they spotted the remote. It was on the ground, under the table. She sighed and stretched to reach for it, not wanting to get up quite yet. He was able to use her pointed finger to pull the remote into reach, and she turned the TV off.

Y/N laid back on the couch, the remote held loose in her hand. She stared at the ceiling before picking her head back up. Where is Jack?

She sat up, her head turning from side to side. Making herself get up, she walked up to the attic, figuring that it's the logical place for him to be.

"Jack?" She called out, her voice having a tinge of sleepiness in it.

No reply.

"Jack?" She said it a little louder.

No answer again.

Y/N turned off the light and went back downstairs. It was oddly quiet—quiet to the point of concern. She shuffled over to the hallway.

"Jaaaaack!" She shouted, walking down the hallway. The bathroom door was cracked, and there was quiet rustling coming from behind it, so Y/N opened it slowly.

There Jack was, awkwardly holding a tooth brush with both hands. Y/N raised an eyebrow.

"What cha doing, bud?" She asked, and a smile started to form on her face.

"It's a tiny brush," he said softly, showing her the tooth brush.

"Yup," Y/N smirked, raising her eyebrows. "What are you gonna do with it?"

Jack looked at the toothbrush before extending it towards Y/N. Her eyes widened as Jack started to brush her hair with it. She laughed and pushed it away gently.

"It's not that type of brush," she chuckled, taking the toothbrush from his hands. Jack let her take the brush, confused as to why she would need such a tiny brush in the first place.

Y/N rinsed the toothbrush and put some tooth paste on the bristles. She turned to Jack. "Smile!" She said.

Jack seemed a little suspicious, but he eventually did as she asked. His mask cracked in half to reveal his long, pointy teeth. Her breath hitched as she was met with the sharp fangs, but she quickly regained her composure.

The toothbrush scrubbed against each long tooth. Y/N decided it would be best to brush his front teeth rather than stick her hand in her mouth. Jack was surprised by the sensation of the brush against his teeth but didn't reject it.

She stopped brushing and looked at the tooth brush. Realizing that it was hers, she sighed internally.

"You can have this one," she said, offering him the brush. Jack closed his mouth, tasting the minty flavor that was left on his tongue. He took the brush and held it firmly.

"Teeth brush," he said.

Y/N shook her head at his childlike interest in every little thing. She ran a hand through her hair and leaned against the door frame. Jack studied the tooth brush before giving it a try himself. His mask split, and he brushed his teeth with odd and janky movements.

A ringing echoed from the other room, catching Y/N's attention. She looked down the hallway to see her phone buzzing on the counter, and she went to answer.

Jack was having a blast scrubbing his teeth. The minty stuff she put on the tiny brush was rather refreshing. He looked at himself in the mirror with a creepy, pointy-teethed smile.

Wow, it was kind of nice to not have the taste of human flesh in his mouth.

Jack set the brush in the cup on the sink, licking around his freshly cleaned teeth. He peeked out of the bathroom to see Y/N talking on the phone with someone. She seemed a little stressed, but she was very polite.

"Yeah, later today works... Mhm... Yeah, sure," she said, talking to the person on the other side. Jack took interest and walked up to her, putting his head close to hear what was being said, but the call ended shortly.

"What?" Jack said, tilting his head and looking at the phone.

"It's just the loaded parents of the spoiled kid I babysit. They're going on a 'business trip'," Y/n said, gesturing for air quotes. "So I'm going to be watching him for the week."

Jack was puzzled.

"Baby sit?" He questioned. In his mind, Jack truly thought that people would simply sit on babies.

"Yeah, he's like seven, I think," Y/N said, walking into her room to change out of her old clothes. Jack followed her to her room as she explained her weird human things, but he was stopped by her hand.

"You can't watch me change clothes," she said firmly, making him stop in the doorway.

"Why not?" Jack asked; his voice was only curious, but the small question was enough to make Y/N blush in embarrassment.

"Because I'm not going to let you see me half-naked!" She chuckled nervously, starting to shut the door.

"But I want to come with you," he said, sounding a little sad about not being in the same room with her for an extended period of time.

"I'll be quick," Y/N rolled her as she tried to avoid smiling at the childish comment. She shut the door and locked it for good measure. Jack stared at the door before sitting against the wall across from it.

Jack looked around the blank hallway for a bit, waiting for her to finish changing. His brain wandered to the other night, when he stayed up the entire time and watched TV. Jack remembered the sweet lovers in the one movie. He couldn't really remember the name of the movie, but he remembered the scene when they first held hands, and it made a weird tingly sensation in his stomach.

This time, the feeling wasn't hunger.
