Chapter 6

Aiara just enter her house from the garden when her doorbell rang. She set her vegetable basket down went to see who it is.

The smile on her face drop when she saw who it is. "What are you doing here?"

"We need your help." Aiara look at her parents and sister.

"What do you need?"

"A hundred thousand dollars."

"I don't have it."

"Seriously? I know you have the money."

"Please leave."

"Not until you give us the money. You can't be this selfish." Aiara try not to cry.

"She said to leave."

Felix came up behind them.

"A vampire?" Felix flash his fangs at them. They went as pale as a ghost.

"Get lost." They waste no time leave. "Are you OK?"

"Yeah. I'm use to this."

No one should be used to mental abused for their family.

"Come on." He step inside and close the door behind him.

She collect her basket and went to the kitchen.

"You're here early."

"I follow my gut feeling." He know something was that's why he rush over and it was a good thing. Only Lord knows what would have happened if he didn't come.

"How about we stay in?"

"No problem. I'm cooking though."

"No you're not."

"Are you going to stop me?"

She laugh. "I might be small but I'm strong."

"Sure." He lift her and set her aside. The look on her face is priceless. "You were saying."

"Show off." She put the vegetables in the sink to wash. "But I'm still strong."

"Don't doubt it for a second." She stuck her tongue out at him and went to wash her vegetables.

"What you making?"

"Spaghetti. Its been a while since I have any."

"Oh me too! Though I doubt you need it survive."

"I don't need human food but sometimes I like the taste of it."

"If you don't mind me asking, where do you get blood from?"

"The hospital. Or human donors."

"Wait that's a thing?"

"Yes. I have program in place where you can sign up to be a blood donor and you get paid. That help to keep the newly change vampires from going rogue and killing people. We'll have enough blood for when their craving is over. A little part of your government don't like it but it's either that or they lose half the human population."

"So you have your own government."

"You can say that. But I'm the highest in my world. As the king I make the final decisions. It take years for your government to agree. When they see how out of control the killings were getting they reluctantly agrees. The death rate drop from 85% to 20% because we don't have time kill to survive. Of course there are rogue vampires out there still but we're capturing them one by one. I want peace but your government don't."

"I like the system. They should be happy humans are getting to live longer."

"They don't like being below anyone. But it's not about being below someone, it's about protecting millions of people. Politics cloud their judgement and that's what they don't see."

"They will not see it trust me. Humans don't change. They like control."

"That's why we're taking that control from them. They need to come down off their pedestal to see what's happening around them."

Aiara agree a hundred percent but not alot of people will see its from another species point of view.
