A week passed and the doctors were confident and very positive enough to pull Aiara out of the self induced coma they put her in. They remove the wires and then turn off the machines.
Now it's just a matter of time before she woke up.
Felix was in his office when Dr. Laos knocked and entered.
"This better be good news Doc." Dr. Laos gulp and Felix narrowed his eyes at him.
"There's a small problem." Felix straighten up in his seat, his eyes flowing. "She won't be fully human. Her heart was already pumping the blood of a siren."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"She won't have a tail but she will have all the senses of a siren. I promise she won't change."
Felix got to his feet and walk over to the doctor. "That better be all Doc."
He walk out of his office and made his way to the guest room.
Pushing the door open he saw Aiara sitting up in bed. Her face lit up when she saw him.
"Am I better?"
"Not quite. The best thing though is you don't have a tail anymore."
"I guess that's good."
Felix sat on the edge of the bed. "But you're still a siren. Just without a tail and I guess the teeth."
"That's good. I want to be able to swim normally. At least I won't turn into a fish when I touch water. Im hungry."
"Let's get you fed."
Aiara kick the cover off and throw her legs over the side of the bed. They buckle the minute she tried to stand up.
"Easy there." Felix lift her up and she wrap her legs around his waist. "I quite like this position."
"Felix!" He laugh and carry her from the room.
Felix set Aiara on the chair and open the microwave. "My chef Miles cook already so we have good food. Lasagna."
He set the plate before her and sit.
"Aren't you going to eat?"
"I have my doze of blood already. I'll be ok for the next few days. Eat."
She nod and dig into her lasagna. It's really good too.
"You're not going back to work yet are?"
"I got two months vacation. They said I'll need it. I do need it actually."
"Good. You're stuck with me until you're ready to go back to work. Need to keep an eye on you."
"To make sure I don't turn into a fish."
"To make sure you don't get kidnapped again."
"Right."
"Your Majesty. You have a meeting with Korea in five."
"Thank you Jace." The man in black suit bow before leaving the room. "I'll show you to the new library. You're going to love this one."
