Part Twenty Two, The Beginning

Chapter Thirty Five,
Dan and Sarah spent almost every weekend with us bonding with their son. They both agreed Daniel Jr. Was the perfect name for the child.
We all four became good friends over the months, spending Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Easter together. But too soon it was time for us to let Danny go. This was even harder for Mary than when she let Dan go. He looked up at Bill and Mary with his chubby little cheeks smiling and his baby blue eyes sparkling before Dan and Sarah said their good-byes and thank yous to Bill and Mary. Then they walked out the door with little Dan.

Epilogue:
Five years later,

Bill and Mary were playing Frisbee with Sammy, Jake and little Bill when the dogs ran to the fence barking and wagging their tails. Bill, Mary and little Bill walked over to the fence to see what the dogs were looking at. There among the evergreens were three white wolves; a big one, a smaller one and a little one. They all three started howling at once and we all howled back at them, even little Bill. Then they disappeared into the forest to live Happily Ever After.
