MINJEONG
I'm in my room, finishing up some of my homework for the night when someone knocks on my door.
"Come in," I say, putting my homework in my folder for school.
"We're leaving," Jimin says, wearing black cargo pants and a tight black shirt, showing off her perfect figure.
"Again?" I ask, standing up from my chair, taking my hair out of the bun that's falling down and gathering at the base of my neck.
"Mhm, we also think that you should just stay home for the rest of the night," she responds hesitantly.
"What? No, if I get bored, I would want to do something." I run my fingers through my hair.
"Please. Just stay inside. You can go out tomorrow." She almost leaves, but I follow her.
She shrugs. "We'll treat you to dinner this weekend then," she says before running down the stairs.
I really don't get it. What family matter could have them away for endless days and nights?
I was about to head towards the stairs to protest, but I heard Tzuyu arguing, then a few other voices protesting.
"This is just too dangerous for her." I hear Yizhuo's voice whisper, and I hide, trying to listen closely to their conversation.
"We're trying to get a new place, but it's too hard to, especially last minute," Ryujin says.
"She's right, though. We can't stay here for too long or she's in great danger. Plus, she's getting suspicious already." Jimin is the only body I can see from where I'm hiding.
Then one of them scoffs, and they all go quiet. They saw me.
I run as fast as I can to my room, being sure to make no noise at all on the way.

When I wake up in the morning, my body feels too heavy to move, and my eyelids could never seem to stay open no matter how hard I try.
I probably got absolutely no sleep last night. All I could think about was what they're all involved in and how it could have me in danger.
It itself is terrifying me to the greatest level. They couldn't be in a cult. That's just weird. They couldn't be in the mafia, then they wouldn't be living in the middle of the city with me. They couldn't be spies either, else I wouldn't know them since it would ruin their entire career, right?
Unless they're all lying about who they actually are, and that's why they all have different hair colors. To change their appearance.
"Stupid," I whisper to myself.
Am I being too paranoid?
It doesn't even make sense. Yizhuo is my age. What could she be illegally doing with them?
I finally get out of bed to begin getting ready when Ryujin appears at my door.
"It's five in the morning," I whisper.
"I need to talk to you," she walks in, her voice low and raspy.
"Um, okay, sure." My voice stays low, too.
"What you heard yesterday might've sounded off to you," she says, looking at me for some sort of reaction. I just nod, so she continues, "but it's really nothing. Tzuyu's brother got involved in something that's hard for her family to fix and get him out of, so we're all working really hard to do so."
"Can I ask what he got involved in..?" I ask, pressing my palms together, nervous around her.
"He got into a gang. He tried to rebel." She sighed.
