Chapter 2: Embracing the Darkness

As the days passed, Emily found herself caught in a delicate dance of deception and intrigue within the walls of the imposing mansion. Despite her initial confusion and disbelief, she had begun to settle into her new role as Lady Alcina Dimitrescu, the mistress of the house.

The daughters, Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela, remained ever watchful, their eyes scrutinizing Emily's every move with a mix of curiosity and suspicion. Though Emily longed to earn their trust and forge a genuine connection, she couldn't shake the feeling that they were always one step ahead, as if they could see through the facade she struggled to maintain.

Her interactions with Karl Heisenberg, however, offered a welcome respite from the suffocating atmosphere of the mansion. Despite his rough exterior. The first time this they met Emily was still having a hard time believing that this was her life now and when he called her a super-sized bitch, Emily let out a snort by accident at that while he stared at her in confusion but he quickly recovered by insulting Dimitrescu and leaving the castle. Apparently Mother Miranda sent him to give Emily some cadou samples.

After their initial meeting Emily thought he was suspicious of her like the Dimitrescu daughters. Adjusting to life here was tough and so far the only Lord Emily met was Heisenberg. Luckily Emily hadn't seen Mother Miranda yet. But one day that suddenly changed when she was in her room still staring at her reflection in disbelief when the phone in her room rang.

Emily answered the phone but she was extremely nervous. She tried to answer how the real Alcina did. "Mother Miranda" she said.

"We'll be having a meeting today with your siblings and I so I expect you to join by midday."

"Yes, Mother Miranda. I'll be there but where exactly will this meeting take place?"

Emily was hoping she didn't sound too suspicious by asking that after not hearing Mother Miranda say anything for a while. Soon her worries faded a bit when she heard her reply.

"Where we always meet Alcina. In the cave church that's on the South West part of the village. Hopefully you will not be asking any more stupid questions after this. I will only let this moment slide because your daughters have told me of you being unwell these days." Mother Miranda said

"Thank you, Mother Miranda."

Mother Miranda hangs up.

Emily gets ready to leave thanks to the few maids here. She swears that each time there's less and less maids here. It must be her new daughters. She tried talking to them about not eating their staff but they just left by turning into a bunch of bugs after laughing at what she said.

Cassandra, Bela and Daniela said a quick goodbye to her before leaving. They looked so ecstatic at the thought of nobody telling them to not eat the staff while the people who worked here looked terrified.

As she made her way to the village some people stopped to greet her from the sidelines. She heard and saw quite a lot of people bow their heads in respect while saying "Lady Dimitrescu."

She was lucky she didn't get too lost because of some helpful locals. They looked so happy that she started talking to them.

'It's so strange seeing the village this lively because in the game there's just death and lycans in the village."

When she entered the church she noticed that she was the last to arrive.

"And the super-sized bitch finally decided to arrive." Heisenberg said annoyed.

Donna Beneviento was laughing like a maniac at her while chanting the word late.

Moreau was laughing and looking at her too, then he turned to look Mother Miranda for approval.

"My apologies Mother Miranda for -" Emily got cut off by Mother Miranda.

"Just sit down child."

After she sat down Mother Miranda talked about how she found the perfect vessel for Eva. She said the perfect vessel was named Rose Winters.

Emily was so nervous and scared because that means that the video game plot and Ethan were coming here soon, not only that but the villagers will die. Hopefully Emily didn't show her fears and nerves on her face.

Mother Miranda said that after she brings this Rose into the village that we will no longer be needing the villagers and said we could do whatever we wanted with them.

Donna was cheering, jumping up and down in excitement while Moreau kept thanking Mother Miranda for this. Heisenberg gave a tight lipped smile and forceful nod. Meanwhile Emily gave a fake smile, fake laughed while she clapped in fake joy.

Mother Miranda left soon after her announcement, then Heisenberg, then Moreau, then Donna because she said she wanted to prepare somethings for her future play dates and then Emily. She was in too much shock and didn't really know what to do. She had to do something because if not she will die.

She thought it would be a good idea to team up with Heisenber even though he hated Dimitrescu and she was in her body. Either way she still went to his factory after asking for a few directions because she didn't remember too well where the factory was.

She walked through the village feeling guilty that she didn't know how to save all of them. When she reached the factory she awaited by the gate and intercom for quite some time. The sun was starting to go down, she was about to leave back to the castle when she finally heard through the intercom.

"What the fuck do you want?"

She clears her throat. "I came here to talk."

"There's nothing to talk with a super-sized bitch like you!"

Emily didn't know what exactly to say so she said the first thing that would grab his attention. "She's planning to kill us! I need your help! Please!"

'It was so weird hearing Dimitrescu which is me beg for help'

After some defining silence she hears a "Come in."

She hears a buzzing, opens the gate and makes her way to the shed or garage she sees open. This was where Ethan rejected Heisenbergs deal.

'Honestly if I had a choice I would've definitely taken his deal.' Emily thought.

Heisenberg and Emily talked. Heisenberg was very wary of her thinking that it was a trap put up by Mother Miranda thinking that she was onto him.

Emily told him about how Mother Miranda was going to get rid of them after Eva was reborn. She decided to tell him about her real name which is Emily, told him about waking up in this body a few days ago and that she wanted to help him. She wasn't sure if she should have told him about the game plot but she decided not to.

Heisenberg just laughed at her like she was crazy but slowly stopped when he saw her serious face. He said he was going to kill her if this was a backstabbing tactic or if she was lying. He didn't trust her but he thought it would be nice to have someone strong and wealthy like her as an ally so he reluctantly agreed to work together with her for now.

As a few months went by Karl had proven to be a steadfast ally, offering Emily his somewhat support and guidance as she navigated the treacherous waters of her new life.

But amidst the chaos and uncertainty, there were moments of fleeting respite, stolen glimpses of beauty amidst the darkness. In the quiet hours of the night, Emily found solace in the moonlit gardens that surrounded the mansion, the scent of blooming roses mingling with the cool night air.

It was in these moments of quiet contemplation that Emily allowed herself to imagine a different life, one free from the shadows that threatened to consume her. Yet, deep down, she knew that her destiny was inexorably tied to the fate of the Winters family, and that she could never truly escape the darkness that lurked within this village at least that was how she felt now.

With each passing day, Emily's resolve hardened, her determination to survive and help Ethan survive the mess that was to come. So Emily steeled herself for the challenges that lay ahead.
