As Heisenberg left Emily alone in the room of his factory, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease creeping over her. The silence was deafening, broken only by the distant sounds of machinery and the occasional creaking of metal.
With nothing but time on her hands, Emily tried to occupy herself, but the minutes stretched into hours, each one more agonizing than the last. She was torn between following Heisenberg's orders to wait and the overwhelming urge to explore the factory and escape the suffocating boredom that enveloped her.
After what felt like an eternity, Emily's curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to venture outside the confines of the room. The air outside was heavy with the scent of oil and metal, and Emily tread carefully, her footsteps echoing against the cold, hard floor. However, her height posed a challenge in navigating certain areas, causing her to feel a bit uncomfortable as she moved through the factory.
But her exploration was cut short when a familiar voice called out to her from behind. Emily turned to find the Duke in the same elevator he was before like the one in the game. It appears she didn't notice that she had passed by the elevator door because it was closed.
"What an unexpected surprise, Lady Dimitrescu. You would be the last person I thought I'd see in Lord Heisenberg's factory," the Duke remarked, his voice dripping with amusement.
Emily was taken aback by the Duke's presence, her mind racing as she tried to formulate a response.
"Duke, what a pleasant surprise," she replied, trying to maintain her composure despite the unexpected encounter.
The Duke erupted into laughter, his booming voice echoing through the factory as he chuckled at Emily's expense.
"No wonder everyone thinks you're not the real Lady Dimitrescu!" he exclaimed between laughs.
I just stare at him in confusion as he laughs even harder at my look. After a while he was starting to calm down in his intense laughing fit with some tears in his eyes.
Emily felt a pang of embarrassment at the Duke's words, realizing that her behavior had inadvertently revealed her true identity.
"I... " Emily didn't really didn't know what to say. She forgot she was Dimitrescu at times so she acted like herself and not the real Dimitrescu at times.
The Duke, sensing her discomfort, changed the subject, steering the conversation towards Ethan Winters and his battles with Moreau and Beneviento. He spoke of Ethan's success in gathering the other two flasks and mentioned his imminent arrival at the factory to collect the last remaining flask from Heisenberg.
As Emily listened to the Duke's words, she realized that she had completely forgotten about Heisenberg's flask and the stronghold it was hidden in.
'Maybe I should help Ethan retrieve Heisenberg's flask,' she thought, but quickly dismissed the idea. 'I probably shouldn't. What if Heisenberg doesn't team up with Ethan if I helped him now because he didn't completely prove himself?'
"You should have some faith in Ethan," the Duke said, his voice filled with wisdom. "So far he's proven himself more than capable of handling whatever comes his way."
The Duke's voice snapped Emily out of her reverie, and she looked at him in awe as he seemed to read her thoughts.
Emily nodded in agreement, grateful for the Duke's reassurance. She knew that Ethan was strong and resourceful, and she needed to trust in his abilities if they were to have any chance of defeating Mother Miranda.
"There you are I've been looking for someone as big as you, Emily. I can't believe the embarrassing amount of time it took me."
"Sorry" Emily said with a smile smile in an apologetic tone.
"Ethan will be coming in later after retrieving my flask from the stronghold but he should be here soon since it was awhile back."
"You met with him?" Emily asked.
"Of course, now he's going to retrieve the flask before we put our plan in motion. The boulder punching freak insisted on accompanying him and threatened to kill us if we decide to betray him and Ethan" Heisenberg said with a nonchalant shrug. His shrug felt like he was saying I wanna see them try kill us. She understands since they have these weird powers and the others don't.
After being silent for all this time Duke said to Heisenberg. "Your items have arrived. In these boxes you'll be able to find what you've asked." He said in a cheerful tone.
"Thank you, Duke." Heisenberg said as he the boxes started to float behind him.
"It was a pleasure doing business with you Lord Heisenberg."
"Now if you'll all excuse me, I have a bitch to go kill." Heisenberg left me and the Duke here to prepare for their plan.
"If you will excuse me too Lady Dimitrescu, I believe Ethan calls," Duke said with a chuckle as the elevator door closed.
'What do I do? Do I go back to my room? Probably because I don't want to fight Heisenberg's creations if they ever decide to attack me' Emily thought tiredly.
With a heavy heart and a mind full of uncertainty, Emily returned to her room, the weight of their impending battle pressing down on her shoulders. But amidst the fear and doubt, she held onto a glimmer of hope, knowing that with Ethan by their side, they stood a fighting chance against the horrors that awaited them.
