3- A Porter and a Park

Luz woke up ready to take on the world, or at least she thought, turns out Hooty is not included in the world.

He was screeching complaints, though Luz tried to block it out as best she could. She threw on a white shirt, dark jeans, a pair of black converse and rushed out of the house.

She decided she'd check out the park she saw the previous day, she honestly was going to try to do anything but hear Hooty's voice today.

When she reach the park she found out some sort of street show was just starting, "Ladies, Gentlemen, and  anything in between or out of... AUGUSTUS PORTER!"

A kid who appeared to be younger than Luz walked out of a black box. "Hello guys! It's me, the great Augustus! As you can see~ actually you can't!"

Luz was a bit confused until she realized Augustus wasn't on stage anymore, instead he walked out of the black box, again.

"Hello guys! It's me, the great Augustus! Personally I've never believed in Deja-vu." Augustus chuckled and pulled out a deck of cards.

Luz was wondering how he managed to disappear from sight and get back into the black box with no one noticing.

"HOW THE FUCK?" A voice yelled beside Luz, she peaked over and noticed the voice belong to a girl name Viney [atleast that's what was on her Wendy's name tag].

Augustus had just had a volunteer write something down on a tennis ball, kicked it into the crowd, then snapped his fingers and made the ball appear in his hands again.

The show ended after about 45 minutes.
"That's the end of the show folks! I'd like to close with a special thanks to my bestfriend and second biggest fan... Willow Park!" Willow came out onto the stage, they both bowed.

There was applause and the crowd started dispersing themselves. Luz was about to leave herself [maybe find Amity~] when she heard a familiar voice.

"You did great captain."

"Hunter?" Luz turned around and walked toward him. Then Luz realized the way she recognized the name of Willow Park.

They met each other in the middle, "What are you doing here?" They said at the same time.

They looked at each other silently for a couple of seconds then laughed.

"Good to see you bro" Luz finger-gunned, then cringed, "ugh, let me try that again; Long time no see, eh?"

"Maybe you should stop right there, before you embarrass me and yourself, Come meet my... friends!" Hunter excitably exclaimed, it reminded Luz of when he first found out about wolves.

"'Friends', uh huh, even Willow, I remember you saying something about her after you left~ what was it..."

"I'm sure it wasn't anything important, now come on!"

"Hey Captain, Augustus! This is my adopted sister Luz." Hunter did what he calls smiling, Willow laughed and Augustus rushed over to meet Luz.

"Hey there Gus." Luz held her hand out for a handshake.

"Gus! A nickname! For me!" Gus shook Luz's had and looked at Willow and Hunter excitedly, "Call me that! For the rest of eternity!"

"Alright Gus" Willow chuckled then went to lean on Hunter, Luz held her breath, she knew how uncomfortable Hunter was with being touched, especially when it's sudden.

But to Luz's surprise, Willow stopped herself, looked at Hunter, and after he nodded 'yes', proceeded to lean on him.

The exchange probably didn't last for more than five seconds, but it meant a lot to Luz that Hunter found people who are aware of his boundaries, and people that he was comfortable with letting cross his boundaries.

"Hi, Willow I'm guessing?" Luz greeted.

"That's me" Willow gave her a thumb's up.

"You guys wanna go get like, McDonald's or something" Luz shrugged, she remembered one being near the library.

Gus agreed excitedly, Willow agreed with him and Hunter just nodded.

Gus and Willow started packing everything up and left Hunter and Luz to catch up.

"When did you come here anyway?" Hunter asked.

"Two days ago, Mom's out for work" Luz shrugged and grabbed her phone out of her pocket.

They all said "Yeah" in unison

Zesty Blight: Who's paying?
Zesty Blight: I'm just kidding, sure I'll go.

Luz N: YAYY
Luz N: see u in 7-ish

They decided to take Luz's car since it wouldn't have set pieces taking up space.

The car trip was mostly small talk.

"Why are we at the Library" Gus questioned.

"Picking someone up" Luz shrugged and got out of the car

"Heyyyy Blight" Luz smirked and reached for the passenger side door.

"I can open the door myself Noceda" Amity rolled her eyes.

"Alright princess, suit yourself"

"Call me that one more time and I'll break your fucking neck"

"Wow... okay"

"CAN YOU GUYS STOP FLIRTING AND JUST GET TO MCDONALD'S" Gus yelled.

The car went silent. Luz put her key in and started the ignition, Amity was covering her face with her hands, neither of them were willing to look in each other's direction.

Willow gave Gus a disapproving look.
"What? Someone had to say it!"

"What does everyone want?" Willow tried to defuse the situation.

"Twenty piece nugget, with barbecue sauce"

"McChicken"

"A number two with a large DrPepper, we can share if that's alright with you Captain."

"Fine by me"

Luz went through the drive through since it'd be faster and they'd just eat in the parking lot.

"Wow you got fangs on you Blight." Luz noticed as Amity fake smiled at an unfunny joke.

Amity ran her tongue along her top row of teeth, "I guess so"

"What'd you use them for?" Luz hinted, she thought it was funny how Amity's face turned red when she was pissed.

"I don't know" Amity shrugged, then smirked, "Might be useful on a trip from France to Australia, though."

Willow legitimately choked, being the first to understand want Amity said.

Willow whispered what it meant to Hunter, but he didn't know what an 'Australian kiss' was.

Gus overheard what Willow said and started blushing profusely.

Luz was the last to get it and when she did, her face went red and she went completely still.

Amity just sat nonchalantly, as if she was an innocent Christian girl.
