CHARLIE
Laura has been acting weird all day and not talking to me. I made her breakfast this morning and then helped with cleaning the house. We decided to sort out the gifts we received and organize them. That entire time, she hasn't said much to me or is very blunt in her tone.
She's now getting changed to take a swim outside, as the weather is quite good and it's a chill day.
As she takes her shirt off, I can't help but stare at her chest. She's gained weight and she's just so beautiful. I want to kiss all of her curves and her lips.
"What are you looking at?"
"Is everything okay?"
"It's perfectly fine. Shouldn't you be somewhere smoking a spliff?"
I chuckle, "I'm here with you. Come on, tell me what's up?"
She then rolls her eyes and walks away with a swimsuit in hand, and she disappears to the spare room. I take that response to leave her alone until she's ready to talk. Grabbing my keys and stuff, I head to my car and take a drive to my sisters cafe.
Pulling up, I notice Mark's car parked up but Camila walks out of it towards the door. Giving it a few minutes to avoid the interaction a little longer, I eventually walk into the cafe. Yasmin has her back to me as she starts to make some coffee, her husband, Don, then walks out and smiles at me.
"How are you Charlie?!"
You know when you just pray that someone speaks quietly...yeah he failed at that.
"Charlie! Hey!" Mark then chimes in behind me from his booth.
Now I have four people looking at me, including my sister. As of right now, she's the only person I want to talk to. My social battery isn't capable of having all these chats right now. Just as my head starts to fill, someone touches my shoulder. Yasmin looks at me with a smile while now standing next to me.
"Guys, I'm going to steal my sister. Babe, can you watch the cafe for a bit?"
Before anyone could say anything, Yasmin drags me to the back door. We end up in the alley way towards some boxes. She sits down on one then taps beside her, signalling for me to take a seat. The place is weirdly clean other than the boxes and it doesn't have the typical smell you'd expect.
"I could see you physically panic. I'm surprised you haven't gone for a smoke."
I chuckle, "You're the second person to say this today."
"So what's up? Why aren't you with your baby mum?"
Shrugging, I take a seat beside her and rest my head against the brick wall. Looking up at the sky, my thoughts run back to the morning. After explaining everything from last night, Yasmin bursts out laughing.
"What's funny?"
"You told her you loved her. It may have been nothing at the time but she's pregnant and emotions are high. Saying you love someone is very significant, you need to choose your words."
"I'm confused."
"Just be there for her and tell her you care about her. I love you Charlie but at times you can be very stupid." I'm still so confused. "But what's the plan for you both?"
