The familiar sounds of the classroom, including rustling papers, squeaking desks, and voices blending into a reassuring cacophony, welcomed the next morning. As they took their seats, Jake, Beatrice, and Kenneth prepared to take on the day.

While they were having a light conversation, Jake's gaze went to Noelle who was gathering her things close by. Even though his heart was racing, he tried not to show it.

Beatrice couldn't help but nudge Jake a little because she's always the one to bring a little playful energy to the group. With a playful gleam in her eye, she exclaimed, "Hey, Jake, look who's here!"

Kenneth laughed at Beatrice's antics with his laid-back manner. "You're not exactly whispering, Bea," he smiled teasingly.

Jake pretended not to hear, caught off guard by the sudden attention, but his cheeks flushed with shame. But somewhere deep down, he felt as though a swarm of butterflies had settled in his stomach, fluttering with anxious excitement.

Jake couldn't help but feel a wave of excitement in that typical moment, with the sunlight pouring through the windows and their classmates' voices filling the air. Although it was simply another ordinary day in the classroom, for him, it could have been something very special—a chance to follow his heart and see where it would lead.

The highly anticipated section competitions began, and the school was a flurry of activity, with the contagious energy of friendly rivalry filling the hallways. Noelle approached every task with poise and determination, her eyes gleaming with a fierce drive to succeed.

And Jake was by her side, a constant shadow. He was there for everything, from the spelling bee to the tug-of-war, lending a supportive hand and encouraging words whenever needed. Jake never faltered in the face of innumerable events and physical exhaustion that would have otherwise overwhelmed him. His unwavering commitment to Noelle's success was evidence of how deeply he felt for her.

Meanwhile, Kenneth, the mischievous instigator, couldn't stop teasing Jake mercilessly about his unwavering dedication. "Hey, Jake, I didn't know you signed up to be Noelle's assistant!" he joked, his laughter echoing through the air like a challenge.

Beatrice was caught in the center of the lighthearted banter, a confidante asked for counsel on personal concerns. She smiled humorously and gave Jake some piece of advice, her kind direction a ray of hope amidst their teenage turmoil.

Jake's resolve grew stronger as the competitions went on and the days stretched into weeks. Every second he spent with Noelle strengthened his resolve and kindled a flame inside of him that would not go out.

Whether victory or defeat awaited them in the end, one thing never changed: Jake's steadfast love for Noelle, a love that surpassed the confines of competition and united them in a bond stronger than any medal or title.

With the approaching Spoken Poetry event, the days were getting shorter and the atmosphere more excited than ever. Noelle was deep in rehearsals once more, her words creating a rich tapestry of meaning and emotion. Ever the silent admirer, Jake stood on the sidelines, staring at Noelle with a moth's attention drawn to a flame.

Amidst the chaos, fellow students gathered around Noelle, offering words of support and encouragement that lifted her spirits like a chorus. With a smile and a nod, Jake joined in, his heart pounding in time with the crowd's collective optimism, unable to contain his contagious enthusiasm.

And yet, amid the friendship, Kenneth's playful banter danced in the light like shadows. He teasingly said, "Hey, your crush is asking for good luck," with a playful twinkle in his eyes.

Jake, however, the ever-stoic partner, shrugged off the remark. With unwavering focus, he calmly replied, "Noelle's actual performance will be later."

The air crackled with anticipation as they lined up for the big event, and the school gymnasium buzzed with nervous energy. Jake's heart pounded with anxious anticipation as he observed Noelle ascend the stage, her presence capturing the audience's interest.

Hunching over, Jake said, "Good luck, Noelle! You can do it!" and with that, her performance started. Noelle's voice sounded like a symphony, filling the room with its beauty and grace.

Jake was enthralled with Noelle's presence, her movements, her voice, and the way she gave each word life as she poured her heart into every sentence. The room erupted into thunderous applause when she finally took her bow, and Jake's hands clapped with a fervor that matched his racing heartbeat. Hunching over, Jake said, "Good luck, Noelle! You can do it!" and with that, her performance started. Noelle's voice sounded like a symphony, filling the room with its beauty and grace.

With the sound of applause and the warmth of mutual appreciation, Jake became aware of how much he had fallen in love with Noelle at that very moment—her voice, her spirit, her essence woven into the very fabric of his being. He also knew that his admiration for her would last, a silent pledge of unwavering support and endless admiration, as he watched her bask in the glory of her well-earned applause.

Amidst all the excitement, Noelle's name was announced as the Spoken Poetry contest winner. Her eyes were brighter than any spotlight in the room, and you could see her face light up with pure joy. Jake couldn't believe it, as he had been tensely cheering her on from the sidelines. It was the happiest he had ever seen Noelle, and it made him feel something he wasn't quite sure what.

Filled with self-assurance, Jake pushed his way through the throng to offer her his congratulations. Noelle noticed him approaching, and her smile got even bigger. It felt like they were the only two people in the room as they exchanged warm congratulations.

Jake took out his phone and suggested they snap a photo together to remember the occasion before they parted ways for the evening. Noelle enthusiastically consented, and they gathered in close, their chuckles blending with the sound of the shutter.

Jake couldn't help but be thankful for their friendship and the way they encouraged each other's aspirations as they later looked at the photo. Knowing that he had contributed in any tiny way to Noelle's success, he felt joy and pride in her victory.

Jake feels a particular pain during Christmas Vacation, even with all the parols and festive lights of the Philippines. His thoughts are filled with a melancholic symphony as the refreshing breeze whispers of Noelle's laughter and the warmth of her presence.

Looking around at the vibrant decorations lining the streets, Jake can't help but think of Noelle's beaming smile and the happiness she fills his life with. Just like a missing note in a favorite Christmas carol, the spirit of the season only serves to deepen his yearning for her.

Jake is enjoying Bibingka and Tsokolate and is missing Noelle. He wishes they could experience the magic of the season together. His heart finds comfort in reminiscing about their previous celebrations and longs for many more to come during this time of love and togetherness.
