After Taehee's selection, everyone gets engrossed in their respective tasks. Meanwhile, Jennie excuses herself to take Jungkook along to her restroom. As they enter the room, Jungkook confronts Jennie with a hint of annoyance, saying, "This is not fair, Jen! I raised my voice for you, hoping to prevent Taehee's selection, but you betrayed me. Why didn't you say anything? You ended up looking great in front of everyone by accepting Taehee without any problem, while you asked me to raise my voice, which made me look bad in everyone's eyes!!" Jungkook's anger seemed genuine to Jennie, who nervously responded, "Jungkook, you're misunderstanding me. Why would I want to make you look bad in front of everyone? Seeing Jungkook so excited, Jennie felt immensely pleased inside because she sensed that Jungkook was willing to go to any lengths to cancel Taehee's selection. Hence, she said to Jungkook, "Jungkook, if you talk to Taehyung, Taehee's selection could be canceled at his mere signal."Jennie was fully confident in her plan's success because a producer would never go against Taehyung. And regarding Taehyung's willingness to help Asit, upon Jungkook's signal, Jennie was sure Taehyung would comply, as she knew well the extent of Taehyung's love for Jungkook. It was because of this love that he had helped Jungkook numerous times at his request. Therefore, she was confident he would do the same this time..While Jennie was secretly elated at her scheme, Jungkook couldn't contain his disdain upon hearing about her deceitful plan. He silently wished to murder Jennie for her despicable move. He was so enraged upon hearing Jennie's words that if he had a gun in his hand right then, he would have emptied all the bullets into Jennie's chest without a moment's delay. How did she even muster the courage to think about fulfilling her vile intentions through Taehyung?

However, it was his own mistake that had given Jennie the courage, as he had always negotiated various deals with Taehyung on Jennie's behalf. It wasn't that Taehyung ever imposed conditions on him to do anything for him, but the point here was to work for Jennie. Although as Jungkook's friend, Taehyung would readily do anything for him without any conditions, he wouldn't make much effort for a friend like Jennie. However, poor Taehyung would always end up succumbing to Jennie's requests because if he didn't, the relationship between Jungkook and him might have ended long ago. Taehyung knew that Jungkook's friend could do anything to end their relationship at any moment, and she was doing this because she wanted to benefit from Jungkook through him. Therefore, Taehyung fulfilled all of Jennie's demands, even out of fear of not breaking his relationship, ensuring that she never asked Jungkook to end their relationship. And this continued until he silently fulfilled all of Jennie's demands, so Taehyung always listened to Jungkook. But now, Taehyung didn't need to do them anymore because his wifey would never demand anything like that from him. In fact, he wouldn't allow Jennie's vile schemes to ever reach Taehyung.

So, Jungkook said to Jennie, "I'm sorry, Jen, but I can't help you this time." Upon hearing Jungkook's words, Jennie was shocked. She couldn't believe that Jungkook had just refused to help her. So, she asked again to confirm, "What? You're not going to help me?"
In a firm tone, Jungkook replied, "Yes! I can't help you this time." Hearing Jungkook's refusal, Jennie felt so much anger towards him that she wanted to slap Jungkook right then and there. But she couldn't do that, so instead, trying to calm herself down, she asked Jungkook, "But why, Jungkook? You've never refused to help me before. In fact, despite the strain in your relationship with Taehyung, you've never hesitated to ask him for help on my behalf... And now that your relationship has improved, you're refusing to ask him for help." Listening to her, Jungkook said, "That's exactly why I'm not asking him for help anymore... Because our relationship has improved, and in such a situation, I... I can't go against his best friend. Jennie forget it. Taehee has been recommended by Bogum, and he's completely supporting her...
