As the night deepened, Taehyung stepped into their bedroom, his eyes immediately landing on Jungkook, who was curled up with a book. A fond smile tugged at his lips as he quietly climbed onto the bed, settling next to his spouse. Without a word, he gently pushed up Jungkook’s shirt, exposing the soft skin of his belly.
"Hey, little one, are you there?" he murmured, lightly poking the smooth surface.
Jungkook, who had been engrossed in his book, blinked at him in confusion before raising an eyebrow. "What are you doing?"
"Just checking in on our baby," Taehyung replied, his attention still fixed on Jungkook’s tummy.
Jungkook sighed, setting his book aside. "Where else would they be? It’s not like they can go on a walk or something."
Taehyung clicked his tongue. "Can you not interrupt? This is an important bonding moment between a father and his angel."
Jungkook rolled his eyes as Taehyung leaned down, placing a soft kiss on his belly.
"My angel, don't listen to your mumma too much. He’s been mean to me since the day I met him. I really hope you don’t pick up his attitude," Taehyung whispered, pouting as he rested his cheek against Jungkook’s stomach.
Jungkook gasped, swatting at him lightly. "Excuse me? Are you seriously turning my own child against me?"
Taehyung only nodded with a playful glint in his eyes. "I’m just stating facts."
Tracing soft circles over Jungkook’s stomach, he suddenly frowned. "Why isn’t it showing yet?"
Jungkook chuckled, his fingers slipping into Taehyung’s hair. "Tae, it’s only been five weeks. Be patient."
Taehyung let out a small sigh. "Everything about this is new to me. I want to experience every little moment, to give both my babies all the love I have."
Jungkook’s heart swelled, his eyes misty as he whispered, "You already are the best dadda they could ever have."
Taehyung smiled, pressing another kiss to Jungkook’s tummy before nuzzling against it. Jungkook let out a soft giggle at the ticklish sensation, his fingers threading through Taehyung’s hair.
The room was peaceful, filled with quiet affection, until Jungkook yawned. "Tae, I’m sleepy."
Without hesitation, Taehyung shifted, wrapping his arms securely around Jungkook. "Then rest, love. I’ll keep you safe."
With a content hum, Jungkook nestled closer, and Taehyung pressed a final, loving kiss to his forehead.
Joo Young's Apartment ~
In Joo Young's room, Jennie was comfortably sitting on his bed, while soojin stood in front of her with his head bowed. Today, Jennie had not sent him to school, but he didn't know why. His dad had returned home late at night, but by then he was already asleep. For now, his dad, was standing right next to him.
Last night, Joo Young was so drunk that Jennie hadn't said anything at that time. She waited for him to wake up in the morning, and now that he was awake, Jennie had called both him and soojin for questioning. Although Joo Young didn't want Jennie to involve soojin in this, he didn't have much say against Jennie. After all, soojin is biologically her son. Jennie folded her hands and asked soojin in an angry tone, "Why did you hide it from me that Hanuel hit you?"
Hearing Jennie's question, soojin was shocked. How did his mom find out? He looked at Joo Young with suspicious eyes, but Jennie, in anger, said, "Your dad didn't tell me... that Jungkook told me... he was very proudly praising his son's strength... he was very happy to see Hanuel beating you."
