Sonic the Hedgehog: Chaos Spectrum

Act 5: Casino Night Zone

Knuckles disappeared into thin air. Then, he reappeared. "WOAH! WHAT'S GOING ON?" Knuckles began falling, until he hit something, and bounced off of it. "Woah!" He bounced off again. "Oh no. I visited this place once.." He turned around and stared at a robot, holding a red gem in its chest compartment. "Okay, I see now. You can do something special with whatever that is. I don't sense chaos energy, so it's clearly something new." 

The robot slammed into Knuckles, sending him flying. "Ouch!" He then slammed into some springs, repeatedly. Knuckles was getting tired and dizzy, fast. He had no way of stopping himself. Until he noticed a slight opportunity. "There we go!" Knuckles spun around and stuck his arms out, spinning. He slammed into the machine and tore out the compartment holding the unspecified gemstone. "PERFECT! Now let's open the package.."

Knuckles could feel some sort of strange, different power from before. "This is really new.." Knuckles all of a sudden felt passionate about defeating those three, and whatever they, or Eggman threw at him. "We can win now!" Knuckles teleported back to Central City.

"HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN?! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GUARD THE ROBOTS AND THE BASE! NOW THAT RED RAT HAS TAPPED INTO THE POWER OF THE CHAOS SPECTRUM!!" Eggman screamed at the top of his lungs. "I want you to collect all of the robots you idiots decided to forget about! Who knows where they could have gone?" He then smashed the camera he was watching Knuckles from.

Vortex the Vulture chuckled a bit. He was punched in the gut swiftly by Quasar, followed by a lightning-fast right hook to the jaw. "If you buffoons had finished them off earlier, those pathetic critters would not be something to worry about!" Quasar yelled. "We spent too much time hunting them that the robots holding the Spectrum Stones disappeared!" Vortex was lying on the ground, speechless and out of breath.

"But Eggman, come on! Why would you make them knowing each stone represents an emotional state! Those robots have emotions now! And are living to fulfil them! They won't follow your orders now. And since they can alter reality on a small scale..." Nebula ranted to Eggman.

"I know that you whale! I expected you would take care of them like I asked. The stones themselves are incredibly unstable. Not the best power source, obviously. But I couldn't just keep them by themselves! Anything they come into contact with either experiences passion, energy, joy, growth, trust, intuition, or spirit!" Eggman replied.

Quasar interrupted. "Look boss, all we need is a radar, and we'll find them. We will beat those fools to it, every single time." Eggman nodded, and tossed a radar to Quasar. "Don't fail me." Eggman warned him. "Or there will be dire consequences. Like the-" 

Out of fear, Quasar had already left. He had already experienced this before. He didn't want to hear about it or think about it.
