Sonic the Hedgehog: Chaos Spectrum

Act 11: Death Egg Zone

Sonic and his group landed back in Central City. "The last two stones are in orbit Sonic.." Tails explained. They had dropped off Amy a little while back, who had thanked Sonic and gave him a red ring to put on his right arm. "What is that?" Knuckles asked. Sonic thought back.

"Metal Sonic dropped this earlier...I don't know what it is but it might be able to help you!" Sonic smiled. "Great! Thanks again!" Sonic said, before dropping Amy off.

"Uh, I don't know, and neither does Amy. But Metal had it on him apparently." Knuckles nodded. Sonic then laid back on the Tornado, Tails' airplane. "Woah!" Sonic shouted as red sparks, resembling stars shot out from his arm. Part of the Tornado was damaged due to this. "Sonic!" Tails put his hands on this face. "What am I gonna do.." He wondered. "Sorry Tails.." Sonic apologised. "We'll call it the Red Star Ring." Silver said. Everyone nodded in unison. Suddenly, Tails' Spectrum Stone radar buzzed. "What's going on?!" Silver asked, as the ground began shaking.

"Eggman is up there!" Nebula realised. They all looked up. "Oh no.." The Death Egg appeared in the sky, completely eclipsing the planet. "It looks four times as big.." Tails was worried. A giant tractor beam appeared from the Death Egg. Sonic was sucked up in an instant, alongside everyone else. "This is it, the final fight." Shadow declared. "You're right." Knuckles agreed. They waited patiently to board Eggman's base of operations.

"Welcome everyone, to my world!" Eggman declared. "Nebula, your friends are here too! Isn't that nice?" Eggman taunted from a microphone somewhere. "You have a choice, Narwhal." Quasar began. "You join us, or die with them." Vortex said. Nebula looked at Quasar and Vortex, and then back at Sonic and his friends. "I...But...Do we really-" Quasar snapped. "US OR THEM! ARE YOU JOINING? YES, OR NO!" Nebula flinched. Nebula took a step towards Quasar. Silver's eyes squinted with hatred. "NO WAY! You're staying with us!" Silver walked forward to grab her. Nebula stood still. "Let her choose." Shadow said. Everyone looked at Shadow, who had his arms crossed, staring into space like this wasn't an important event. 

"She wins with us or loses with them, it's fine." He added. Nebula shook off Silver's hand and ran to Quasar. "I'm with them.." She said. "Then it's on!" Knuckles declared. They began swinging. Sonic and Quasar were going back and forth with light-speed attacks as Tails followed suit, covering Sonic. "Nice sidekick. He's the only reason you're alive y'know." Quasar said. Sonic slowed down, walking alongside Quasar. He then smiled. "I know. And I'm proud of him. Get him, Tails!" 

Tails kicked Quasar with both legs in the face as he stumbled backwards. Sonic performed a spin dash, as red sparks flew from his body, paralysing Quasar for a second. "GAH!" He yelled. Eggman then pushed a blue button. "Goodbye, Sonic. Well done Quasar." He said. Sonic looked around as he was encapsulated alongside Tails and Quasar. "We're being sent into orbit..The Death Egg is leaving the gravitational pull of our planet!" Quasar looked worried now. "We're going to die because of you!" He accused Sonic. Sonic wiped a droplet of sweat off of his forehead. "No we're not. Nebula said the Spectrum Stones were connected to the Chaos Spectrum. Some sort of energy source or network thing right?" Quasar nodded. Sonic continued. "They were made in the image of the Chaos Emeralds. Except they're stronger. So this should be easy! CHAOS.." 

The capsule they were ejected from began glowing. "Woah!" Quasar wondered what was going on right now. "CONTROL!!" Quasar looked up. "No way!" A humongous violet light flashed across the atmosphere, illuminating space as it stretched from one side to another. They were teleported just outside the Death Egg. On a metallic ring, similar to those on Saturn. Quasar sprinted forward as he realised the was a giant laser powered by a y bright yellow light. "A Spectrum Stone..." Sonic, Tails and Quasar ran for their lives. Quasar slammed into Sonic, knocking him completely off balance as he sprinted further and farther ahead.
