1. Speechless, terrorized and shocked...

there are days yibo wish they could go by in the blink of an eye. well, today is that kind of day. yibo barely manage to get out of bed.

"come on, yibo, we should really get going now." said mom.

"just one sec, mom." said yibo.

'i can't believe it's actually been 3 years... god, if only you were still here, if only you knew how much i miss you.' thinks yibo.

he come down stairs reluctantly.

"ready to go?" asked mom.

"well, sure, let's go." said yibo.

"great! honey, we're ready." said mom.

"let's go. are you okay, yibo?" said dad.

"yeah, don't worry dad. we should get going." said yibo.

"yes, your sister is waiting for us." said mom.

yibo sigh and swallow his feelings. he don't want to overwhelm his parents. they must be sad enough already.

"yibo, look, i found a picture of you and your sister in my purse. do you want to see it?" said mom.

"uhm, yes." said yibo.

he look at the picture of him and his gorgeous little sister, ziyi. back then, life was so much better and easier.

as memories and flashbacks rush to his head, one specific memory holds a special place in his heart.

"when you ran after that bird and that car hit you. you decided to fly with it." said yibo.

once in front of the tombstone, yibo burst into tears. his parents are holding it in, but it is clear that they are on the verge of melting down with him.

"she was such an angel. such an angel..." said dad.

"my poor little kid, how you must feel lonely in heaven." said mom.

"it's so unfair, she was just a child!" said yibo.

"yes darling. an innocent 11 year old. you were such an example for her. even if you were only 4 years older." said mom.

"you were the best brother ever yibo. i'm sure she's looking over you now." said dad.

'they're not making things easier.' thinks yibo.

they all finish praying and talking about ziyi. once the ritual is over, yibo decide to go back home, when suddenly he came across an old acquaintance: zhan, his classmate.

'what is he doing here? i don't wanna deal with him. he really chose the worst moment possible.  'thinks yibo.

yibo don't really like but still decide to say hi.

"mom, dad i'll be back in 5 ." said yibo.

he walk over to zhan.

"zhan, hi!" said yibo.

zhan barely looks at him and then decides to ignore him.

'nice.' thinks yibo.

"are you done staring at me?" said zhan.

"i wasn't star..." said yibo.

"whatever." said zhan.

"who do you think you are?" said yibo.

zhan just smirks and walks away. yibo is not done with him yet.

"yibo, we have to go now." said dad.

'i really wanted to put that stupid guy back in his place. but i won't waste my energy on him. he's not worth it anyways. but i wonder what he was doing there...' thinks yibo.
