it's the moment yibo has been waiting for. he's holding in his hands all the secrets behind the mysterious events that happened.

"so do you wanna read it or should i?" asked zhan.

'read my parent's notes?' thinks yibo.

"i think it would be best if... i read it." said yibo.

"yeah, fair call. it's your parents' journal after all." said zhan.

"i can't believe i'm gonna read it. it's so scary. but we have to." said yibo.

"you can do this. here goes nothing." said zhan.

yibo open the book.

he start reading the notes that his mom and dad left him.

he's able to distinguish them because of their handwriting.

"yibo, if  you're are reading this it means that your mom and i failed. you must be wondering what happened. so we're gonna answer the questions that you must be asking yourself." said dad.

"as you know, your sister died 3 years ago, and everything has been different ever since. your dad and i couldn't cope, and we were miserable. so we decided to use our scientific knowledge to try and bring her back. so we found this potion but that could do that but..." said mom.

"if we failed the consequences would be catastrophic. and you're probably victims of the aftermath." said dad.

"if that's so. it means that we failed as scientist. luckily enough we were able to create a protection for you and zhan. his dad helped us a lot in the experiments so it was natural payback." said mom.

"the poor man was hoping to revive his late wife as well... any way, i wanted to tell you that i'm sorry, my dear son, but your mom and i... we couldn't live with the guilt of erasing humanity." said dad.

"we love you my sweet child and i know you'll be strong and can find a way to make it." said mom.

"we believe in you, yibo." said dad.

"and don't forget there will be always be life somewhere." said mom.

"look there's more on this page. you wanna read it?" asked zhan.

yibo start sobbing and zhan opens his arms to him.

"i know it hurts... yibo... i didn't know my father was involved as well... it's okay, yibo, we still have each other, right?" said zhan.

he holds yibo's face with both hands.

he moves yibo's face close to his.

yibo can feel his breath.

zhan kisses his eyes deeply.

yibo know it means something to him at least at this moment.
