11. The cave of secrets...

it's finally the moment of truth. could jacky be the person who tricked marius into attacking yibo that night? only zhan can answer this question now.

"come on, tell me! she's the mysterious mastermind, isn't she?" asked yibo.

"well, i compared both handwriting and..." said zhan.

"and?" asked yibo.

"well they don't match. she's not the one who wrote the letters." said zhan.

"oh my god. now we are back to square one..."said yibo.

"i know..." said zhan.

"she was our best and only suspect... we have no other clue now..." said yibo.

"don't get discouraged, we will find him." said zhan.

"but we have no other lead..." said yibo.

"well we will find a way to find out the truth, i promise you." said zhan.

'zhan is always so protective of me... i used to be so safe around him.' thinks yibo.

"are you okay? why are you so silent?" asked zhan.

"sorry... i was just thinking about..." said yibo.

'should i confess my feelings to him? i really want to tell him that i miss him...but.' thinks yibo.

"about?" asked zhan.

"the situation." said yibo.

"i told you to not worry, you can count on me." said zhan.

"i know that..." said yibo.

"i will always be there for you even if we're not together." said zhan.

'i wanna tell him that it always has been him... and only him. but will i ever have the courage to confess this?' thinks yibo.

he was so distracted by his conversation with zhan that they both didn't realize that someone is approaching.

"so zhan, have you found my bag yet? we don't wanna be late to... what are you doing here yibo?!" said jacky.

"well, i was just passing by." said yibo.

"you just happened to pass by my house?" asked jacky.

"i'm sorry, am i not allowed to come too close? will you change me into a frog?" said yibo.

"i just don't believe you. you two are hiding something." said jacky.

"stop it, jacky. it was my idea." said zhan.

"your idea? you manipulated me/ but why? what do you want from me?" asked jacky.

"i'm sorry but yes i did, and i can't tell you why." said zhan.

'zhan did this all for me, maybe i should take the fall for him. it would be a small payback for all the amazing things he did for me.' thinks yibo.

"jacky, don't be too hard on him." said yibo.

"it's none of your business, and zhan! how dare you? you ridiculed me! i don't wanna see you ever again!" said jacky.

"fair enough." said zhan.

suddenly yibo feel very sleepy and weak to the knees. he's starting to pass out slowly and this reminded him of the night right before the apocalypse.

jacky and zhan fall asleep on the ground and it doesn't take yibo long to pass out as well.

when he finally wake up, he find himself tied up in some sort of dark cave.

zhan is still asleep and jacky isn't in the cave with them..
