10. The letters...

after one of the most traumatic experiences of yibo's life, detective jacob finds out who sent the murderer.

everyone tries to comfort yibo while jacob tries to find the clues from the corpse.

"so the attacker was a villager named marius." said jacob.

"i barely know him, why would he want to hurt me?" said yibo.

"this is strange, if you don't know him there's no clear motive. but there must be a reason behind this." said jacob.

"what reason could he possibly have? he doesn't know me!" said yibo.

"i'm gonna find out, nobody goes around attacking people for no reason after all." said jacob.

"we're all here for you, yibo. you can count on us." said noah.

"thank you guys, that's really nice." said yibo.

"i'm gonna search mauris' house to see if i find anything there." said jacob.

he leaves yibo with noah and zhan.

"and you zhan, how are you feeling?" asked noah.

"i'm fine." said zhan.

"that's great." said noah.

'he just killed someone, i'm sure he's not okay. i won't bother him. he probably needs some alone time.' thinks yibo.

"so do you think jacob will find something useful?" asked noah.

"i already have." said jacob.

"come on, tell us what you have found." said noah.

"i just found some letters. there's more going on to this. and yibo you have some explaining to do? take a look at these letters." said jacob.

yibo open the letters and their content shocks him.

[i want to know where yibo goes, when and with whom. i want every detail about his day, marius. or else you know what will happen to your wife and kids.]

"so he had him spying on me the whole time i was here?" asked yibo.

"look at this one." said noah.

[tonight when he gets back to his room and if he's alone, you attack him. i want him dead tonight and don't tell me about him being innocent boy because he's not. either he dies tonight, or one of your daughters will never see the light of day and remember that his parents caused the apocalypse.]

"care to explain 'his parents caused the apocalypse' part?" asked jacob.

"well, i don't know what he's talking about. that's obviously just a bunch of lies. i'm sure it was just to trick marius and make him attack me." said yibo.

"but that's some serious accusation he made about you. are you sure it's all just a lie?" asked jacob.

"yes, you have to believe me. he's the one who's lying." said yibo.

"for now i'm interested in finding the person behind the letters. i'm gonna go tell his family that marius wasn't a bad person. they deserve to know the truth." said jacob.

jacob left the room and yibo make sure that he's really gone.

"he knows everything about me, how is that possible?" said yibo.

"maybe he's one of the survivors and he wants to avenge the death of one of his relatives." said zhan.

"but why not have marius killed you too?" asked yibo.

"this is weird. maybe i should go and check with jacob to find out more about this." said zhan.

'i don't want him to leave, but i think what he says is right...' thinks yibo
