2. All the sass and sarcasm...

the scene in front of yibo was horrifying; everything was destroyed and corpses were laying on the ground. shock and terror was all he could feel.

"OK, it's definitely not a prank." said zhan.

"so it took you an apocalypse to believe me? next time when i tell you something and you don't believe let me know! maybe i'll stimulate a war or a tsunami. since it takes this much for you to believe me. you're just unbelievable!" said yibo.

"okay, are you done with all the drama now? what the hell happened anyway/" said zhan.

"well i guess dinosaurs resurrected. and came back after millions of years. to destroy the entire universe!" said yibo.

"and i'd say you're being sarcastic but who knows. you're so dumb that maybe you do believe that..." said zhan.

"maybe you're right, i am dumb. dumb to waste my energy arguing with you. you're so immature, i'd rather have a conversation with an 8-year old." said yibo.

"you're right. there are more important matters right now." said zhan.

"thank you, glad we can agree on that. wait a second? are my parents here? did they make it?" asked yibo.

he search every room of the house thoroughly but he didn't find them.

"they're not here! what if they died in the explosion? oh my god! i can't lose anymore people! they're all i have left." said yibo.

"did you try calling them?" asked zhan.

"no... let me see." said yibo.

"i'm gonna call my dad too." said zhan.

there's no signal to call anybody.

"let's check the news to see what happened." said zhan.

the TV cable somehow isn't working.

"so there's no phone, no TV." said zhan.

"and no internet either." said yibo.

"great, now we're back to prehistory. let's go light up a fire and live in cave." said zhan.

"how are we gonna contact our parents?" asked yibo.

"i don't think we can, yibo. we'll have to wait here. hoping that they'll come back." said zhan.

"this can't be happening." said yibo.

he burst into tears and surprisingly zhan comes and wraps his arms around him.

yibo don't want to look vulnerable in front of zhan, he push him away and hold back his tears.

'he'll make fun of me again if he sees me crying.' thinks yibo.

yibo rush to his room and close the door.

'my parents... i can't lose them too.' thinks yibo.

suddenly someone knocks on the door.

"mom? dad?" asked yibo.

"it's me." said zhan.

"what you want?" asked yibo.

"i just wanted to make sure that you're okay." said zhan.

"of course, i'm not okay." said yibo.

"can i come in?" asked zhan.

"no." said yibo.

"come on, let me be there for you." said zhan.

"zhan, i just need to be alone for a few minutes, please." said yibo.
