Greetings, Gong Jun! I'm delighted to have you here. Today, it will be my honor to be your guide and accompany you to Xiao's mansion.

Gong Jun nodded and expressed his appreciation to the lady who's actually greet him with great respect and energy.

So much for introducing the Great Xiao's HAUNTED Mansion.

In frustration Gong Jun just facepalmed himself asking what god damn devil possessed his father to lure him in such a place. Thanks to his dear old dad that his now momentarily savoring the outside world on one moment of his life because place like that is to be said a no joke.

Not having an interest on whatever Gong Jun keeps his eye through his phone while scrolling through the internet. His in that personal comfort when the girl spoke again to caught her attention.

"Sir, are you listening? Sir you should listen to me."

Gong Jun annoyed to the girl disturbance just look away and breathe deeply he puts his phone into his pocket look again to the girl and smile.

"Continue, I was just browsing my internet since I will live on that said mansion on who knows where. What if it's in the mountain? In the sea? Under the deep reef or whatever" He says savoring his last moment because who knows if Xiao's popular mansion can had a ghost wifi to save him right?.

Truth be told Gong Jun really not interested in what the lady is talking about. The only reason he's listening is because he doesn't know where on earth Xiao's mansion is located. And the reason he was into it is because his father wants him to go into it.

"Whatever the reason, let's just get to it," he said, then hurried towards the car, annoyed. Actually, he has no desire to fulfill the task given by his father because seriously, what kind of task would want you to stay in that haunted mansion of Xiao's for almost 2 months? It's a whopping 60 days. However, fearing that his father would force and put a gun on his head, he reluctantly agreed. Better to be haunted by a ghost than to become one of them,.

All says Xiao's haunted mansion is situated in the remotest part of the world. How could his father, out of all the places in the world, choose this one just to punish him?

He didn't even know how his father discovered such a place. Does being a leader of a gang mean knowing every corner of the earth? And most importantly, he can climb mountains, trek rocky paths, but living in a haunted Xiao's mansion? It's either his father is sick enough nor sick of him.

His father is definitely sending him to death.

He knows Xiao's mansion very well. It's the talk of the town after all. A mysterious haunted house. You'll die if you go. However, No one has ventured into such a place before. Maybe those accusations are just bluffs and the innocent and unaware house has been portrayed as a vicious haunted mansion.

Even so, even if it's a real haunted mansion, Xiao's mansion is still just a mansion. What could go wrong? If anything happens, he'll run away immediately if needed. if all the rumors are true and ghosts do dwell there, maybe he can befriend those ghosts right? As a human, he is more powerful than ghosts. He just has to stay here for a short period of time, and as long as he does it, his father will surely set him free again.

"As the son of the gang boss, why not?" Gong Jun confidently said.

Upon arrival, the driver promptly informs him and even assists him by opening the door. Am I a lady? He whispered. The driver's gestures and movements indicate great nervousness, but his face doesn't show any sign of fear. Wow, impressive self-control! He whispered in amazement.

After getting out, he immediately notices the darkness of the place, the various shadows, and the thick fog. Curious about all this, he seeks guidance from the driver. However, the driver just throws his luggage out and quickly drives away.

"Woah?! Not even a goodbye or farewell greeting! Just wait until I'm done with this place!" said Gong Jun angrily to the servant who immediately ran off after throwing him out.

Entering the villa, all Gong Jun can feel is the coldness in the air and the silence of the area.

Does a haunted place have to unquestionably be haunted?! He exclaimed in his mind.

"Hello, dear. I'm Lan Ran, a servant of Xiao mansion. Welcome," said the young lady who suddenly appears.

"Impossible. Father says there's no way someone is here. All Xiao's are dead, including the servants. How can there suddenly be one?"

"A-Are you human?" Gong Jun asked.

After such a statement, the woman falls silent for a moment. She slightly laughs, and gives him a beautiful smile, and then speaks again.

"Of course, young master, I am. Don't be afraid. I won't-"

The woman stops when she is suddenly hit by something in the air. Slowly, she turns into a dark shadow and disappears.

Witnessing all of this right in front of him, Gong Jun is shocked to the core, frozen in that moment.

(???.... What the heck?!) Gong Jun mutters, standing there with an expression that is priceless as the son of the gang boss.

"I must've look foolish. I know it," he whispered to himself.

"Don't trust anyone you meet to be alive. You almost got tricked."

Upon hearing the voice, Gong Jun is startled. He turns to see the man speaking, but as he almost sees him, the man rushes towards him and immediately covers his eyes, giving Gong Jun a glimpse of his appearance.

"Don't turn, don't look. It's for your safety," he said in a low voice.

"W-who are you?" said Gong Jun.

Silence takes over for a moment. It's as if nothing exists in that place other than him. His nervousness intensifies until the man speaks again, almost in a whisper.

"Zhou Zi Shu."

Upon hearing the name, the hands covering Gong Jun disappear, and so does the man in front of him.
