The silence was shattered by eerie sounds of groaning and cries, jolting Gong Jun from his sleep. As he struggled to awaken fully, he remained alert to his surroundings. A strong wind blew, unveiling all the paintings on the walls, accompanied by the loud opening and closing of a banging door and the clanging of hanging chimes.

"Wait a minute, am I the star of a low-budget horror movie now?" Gong Jun whispered to himself as he stood up.

Spotting a mirror on the wall, Gong Jun froze slightly, as if his own reflection was rating his pajamas. When his own reflection flashed a grin, Gong Jun's eyes popped wide open, realizing he was in a real-life suspense. "What on earth is going on?!" He yelled.

"Ouch! You're loud! It took me ages to fall asleep, you know?!"

"Seriously, you managed to sleep through all this madness?!" Gong Jun asked, moving anxiously through the house.

"That's right genius! That's why I slept,!" Zhehan retorted.

"Okay, okay. Can you please explain this paranormal party to me in plain words?" Gong Jun hurriedly inquired.

"I already told you, at night, they're stronger. It's like this," Zhehan explained.

"You call that an explanation?!"

"Are you suddenly hit your head and got amnesia?! You're literally in the Xiao's mysterious haunted mansion!" Zhehan said in defence reminding Gong Jun where he was.

Gong Jun, running out of breath and overwhelmed by nervousness, couldn't continue the argument. He decided to seek guidance from Zhehan, the expert who had lived in the mansion for who knows day's already. "Okay, for someone who's been a guest here for a time now, how do we deal with this?" Gong Jun asked.

Zhehan sighed again thanking that the guy finally come to senses and instructed, "Follow my directions. Sleep, close your eyes, close your ears. Don't listen to anything."

"What do you mean sleep?" Gong Jun questioned.

"What? Can you fight them?" Zhehan stared, knowing there was no valid argument.

"Fine, I'll go with the flow. If I knew this was to happen, I would've disagree even my father showed me his world's fastest bullet." Gong Jun whispered complaining to himself.

"Enough, do as I said. If you're afraid,....think... of me. I'm here for you," Zhehan reassured. He was also confused of why he said that to the guy but well it's what this situation needed aren't it?.

Upon hearing Zhehan's words, Gong Jun followed the instructions. His too in fear to notice anything in Zhehan's words. Moments later, the wind and banging ceased, and silence returned.

Gong Jun's nervousness gradually faded, only to return when he felt a presence beside him. Someone whispered in his ear, testing his wakefulness. Unable to move or even breathe, Gong Jun kept his eyes shut.

The voice whispered, "I'm here," in a gentle, soothing tone, echoing in his mind like a sweet lullaby. Despite the comfort it provided, Gong Jun couldn't bring himself to open his eyes, remaining motionless as the night passed.

The person simply touch him and sang a little song like easing his terrified self in nervousness.

As dawn broke, Gong Jun sat against the wall, feeling dizzy and weak from a sleepless night. "Is this place trying to give me a one-way ticket to the underworld? It's literally leading me to my deathbed? If I don't die of a heart attack, I'll fall seriously ill from lack of sleep," he whispered.

"How did you survive for three months in this creepy house?" Gong Jun called out

"Are you still alive?"  He asked again. receiving no response after a long pause he called again

"Hey! Are you still asleep?!"
