THEY DROPPED RACHEL off in New York and then made their way to camp.

Nico hovered at the entrance of camp.

"Come on, Nico," Percy spoke.

"Go in without me. I don't want to come back here," Nico stated.

"But we need your help."

Nico just folded his arms over his chest and scowled.

Nick decided to step in. He placed a hand on Nico's shoulder. "Please, Nico."

He looked at Nico with a remember what I told you kind of look.

"Fine," Nico caved in. "For you. But I'm not staying."

He smiled to himself as he patted Nico on the back. "We'll see about that, di Angelo."

Annabeth started walking through the entrance and Nico followed. Grover and Tyson did the same.

Him and Percy trailed behind them and Percy spoke to him as they walked, "Since when does he listen to you?"

He just shrugged with a small smug smirk.

Percy clicked his tongue and pretended to be upset as he crossed his arms over his chest and faced forward. "Fine. I see how it really is, Castellan."

He let out a helpless laugh. "You're so dramatic."

NICK HAD NEVER SEEN CAMP so serious before. Usually it was filled with joy and playfulness. Right now everyone looked serious and scared.

Every cabin had their part in the military operation.

Annabeth had already left to go to Athena cabin at the command tent, Tyson had joined the Hephaestus cabin, and Grover had left to go find Juniper.

"It's still not going to be enough," Percy stated from their spot overlooking camp from the Big Hill.

Nick couldn't agree more and it broke his heart. It wasn't going to be enough to fully protect camp but this one as good as it was going to get.

Lee Fletcher came climbing up the hill.

"Lee? Why aren't you with your cabin?" Chiron asked the blonde son of Apollo.

"I've come to recruit," Lee announced before he turned to look at him. "Percy told me you have a hell of an aim when it comes to shooting a bow and arrow. The Apollo cabin could always use some more archers in the trees."

His first instinct was to say no due to his prejudice when it came to the Apollo cabin, but Percy was telling him to with his eyes.

"As long as you have a bow and arrow for me," he replied.

Lee pulled out a wooden bow and arrow from his back and placed it in his hands. "It's your lucky day."
