Like a date

I already packed my stuff and the only thing I need to do now is to go to the bus terminal. But I want to stay for a few more days. I want to stay and think of nothing and stare into blank space.

I laid down on my couch and covered my eyes with my arm. I stayed that way when I heard knocking on my door. I groaned as I stood up because I didn't want to move from my position. I opened the door and Vincenzo was standing there, wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts. He was so fresh to look at. He got his car keys in his hand, waving it in front of my face.

"What am I supposed to do with your car keys?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

He grinned and said, "It's my free day and I thought that before you'd go back to your hometown maybe we could go on a long ride?"

I stare at him for a moment. "What?"

He shrugged. "I mean, you know, like go around the spots in the higher areas here, see the beauty of being around lots of nature and all that. But only if you want."

I stared at him some more.

I think for a moment.

I want to stay in my apartment and lay all day but the sound of seeing great spots is also great.

But I'm tired.

But I also want to wear something cute and have cute photos.

"Give me a minute to change. Come inside."

I went inside my room and immediately searched for clothes appropriate to the places we might end up in. I picked out long dresses, short dresses, some crop tops and high waist shorts. I thought of the consequences and millions of possibilities that would break my comfort.

In the end I settled for the grey crop top and a high waist shorts. I took out my black Prada hand bag and took all the things I need for thing trip. I put sunscreen, red lip gloss and drew a subtle wing liner on both my eyes and finalized it with Maybelline mascara. I wore my Nike shoes.

I hurriedly went out of my room. Vincenzo was on the couch and was waiting patiently. He looked up to me when he heard my bedroom door opened and closed. He snacked on my body from head to toe, his eyes stopping for more than a scan in my thighs before he lifted his gaze back to my eyes.

I smirked at him.

"Eyes on my face, mister."

"Right." He said as he was standing up and went to the door first.

"Where are we going?" I asked, locking my doors.

"Wherever the wheels takes us." I liked the sound of that.

We walked down the halls and down the building. We reached his car and he opened the door for me. I went inside and connected my phone to his car so I could play songs with it. He started the car and drove us to the main street.

A song was starting to play on the car radio and I unconsciously sang the song as we passed by buildings after buildings.

"I didn't know there was a song that sounded like that." Vincenzo said.

"Ah, welcome to my ever shifting best of the best playlist."

Vincenzo laughed and we didn't talk for a while as building slowly becomes trees and cars have slowly lessen and was replaced by motors and the road aiming higher, the houses lessening as we now pass by hills. The sun was slowly becoming even brighter and green planes are now the view outside my window. We were in comfortable silence, my heart light as I ran my eyes all over the place.
