Cierra's P.O.V
It's been a week and a half since I've agreed to eat breakfast, dinner and lunch with Alissa.
Which means it been a week and a half without a job.
Even though I'm a little depressed about not having a job, I'm still thankful for Alissa. To tell the truth, it's really fun. We always play games and joke around, even gossip about other stuff we heard in school. I actually start to feel like I'm in a family again.
But I still had no luck whatsoever with finding a new job. Every job interview I've went to either turned me down or said they were not looking for a new worker. Which makes no sense because they should have put the damn sign away that says 'Help Wanted'.
I was now walking home, after my last class has ended. Even after begging all day, Alissa wouldn't agree to her and I not eating dinner together tonight, which took a lot of energy. Do you know how hard it is to argue with your best friend when they really want to help you? Very Hard. So I just choose to go to my house get some clothes, then sleep at her house.
Being me, I wasn't even paying attention to anything since my eye's were glued to my iPhone trying to pick a song to listen to. I bet I'll bump into a pole like last time.
My guess came true, well almost, as I bumped hard into a chest, and stumbled back, almost falling on my butt. I gained my balance back, and looked up at a mystery man behind a hoodie.
"Sorry-" We both apologized at the same time. We immediately stopped as we recognized what we were both doing.
"Sorry, I should've watched where I was going." I told him, trying to look at his face but, it was covered with his hoodie.
"No, it's my fault. I should have watched where I was going." I heard his firm, deep voice through the hoodie. His eyes finally reached mine, as he rose his head. Grey eyes. Piercing grey eyes.
"Well once again, I'm sorry. I should have watched where I was going." He cleared his throat, and walked around me, going the opposite way I was walking. I shook my head and continued to walk.
Who was that? I've never seen him around her before--well I barely saw him. But still, who was he?
As I kept walking I saw a bright yellow paper flicking from the smooth LA wind on a wall from the corner my eye.
I turned my head and looked towards the paper, starting to read it.
Looking For A Job?
PET SITTER WANTED!
APPLY FOR THIS DOG SITTING JOB!
HOURS: 2PM - 7PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
To apply, come to the address below at anytime for an interview.
After I saw the words 'to apply' I immediately ripped the paper off the wall. I found a job! I thought as I started jumping up and down. I can't believe I found a job!
I stopped jumping as I saw the confused eye's staring at me. I mentally slapped myself for being so stupid. Why am I celebrating? I don't actually have the job until I go for the interview. I cleared my throat and continued to walk back home. Getting paid to watch a dog, what easy money.
After a few minutes, I finally arrived home. I kicked off my shoes, and my jacket and just threw it somewhere.
"Diamond!" I called walking into the kitchen. I heard the ringing of bells then, my cat running towards me. I bent down and rubbed her head, she then closed her eyes and rubbed her head against my hand. Diamond has been my cat since I was 15. When I was coming down here, I chose to bring her with me, she's really the only one I have right now. Except for Alissa.
"I think I found a job." I said getting up and going over to her food bowl. I took her bag of food from my cabinets and put some into the bowl along with putting water in her other bowl. She came over and started to eat, as I went to my bedroom, taking my bag with me.
After I packed some clothes in my duffle bag and regular things like my toothbrush and contacts. After I was down packing my stuff, I walked into the kitchen and packed some cat food for Diamond. When I was done, I gently rest her in my bag and soon walked out of my apartment.
Alissa only lives 5 minutes away anyway.
Jerome's P.O.V
I walked into the house quickly, closing the door behind me. I shrugged of my jacket sweater, throwing it on the coat rack, and brushed my dark brown hair out of my face. Wiping the sweat of my face, a picture of the girl I bumped into popped into my mind.
Beauty. The only word I can use to describe her. I shook the picture of her out of my mind and made my way up the stairs. Once I had gotten up there, I made my way into the master bedroom, where I saw the love of my life.
"Hello, honey." I smirked as I made my way towards her. She looked up at me and squealed, getting up from the bed.
"Hi babe." Kayli smiled. As soon as I had reached her, I began to lean down so I could kiss her pink lips.
But she moved away from me, making me stumble a bit. I gave her a confused look as she crossed her arms.
"You're all sweaty. There's no way I'm going to kiss you." She said, then climbed right back into bed. I looked at her in disbelief before turning and making my way to the bathroom.
Once I had stepped inside, I closed the door behind me, starting the shower. I stripped, throwing my clothes into the hamper. When I began to see steam collect in the bathroom, I hopped into the shower.
She wouldn't kiss me because I was sweaty?
"So stupid." I mumbled as I soaped my body.
Kayli is amazing and all but it's hard to deal with her. She does not do much for me, and she demands certain things. I cannot even get a simple kiss without having her complain.
I sighed and continued my shower.
Once I had finished, I turned the water off and left the bathroom. I went into the extra large closet Kayli and I share, picking out a pair of pajama pants, not even bothering to put on a shirt.
"So where did you go?" Kayli asked, keeping her eyes locked onto her phone. I didn't even think that she was talking to me.
"I went to put up the flyers for a dog sitter." I told her, lying down in bed next to her. "People will probably start flooding in for the job by tomorrow."
Kayli's head snapped up towards me. "I can take care of those people. I'm off tomorrow anyway." She smiled.
"If you would like to." I looked at her a bit confused. Kayli barely does anything.
She smiled and kissed me gently on the lips.
