Jerome's P.O.V
"I found a dog sitter." Kayli blurted. I looked up from my phone as she put her hair into a ponytail.
"You have?" I raised a brow.
"Yep!" She chirped. "I'll see you later." She smiled and came onto the bed. She puckered her lips, as I kissed her. She walked out of the room, leaving me by myself.
Looking at the time, I got up from the bed, going into my huge closet. I picked out one of my gray suits, getting dressed afterwards.
I put on my jacket and looked into the mirror, spraying on some cologne. When I looked myself over, I noticed that one of my sleeves was unbuttoned.
After trying to button it back for 5 minutes, I gave up, choosing to ask Lona for some help.
I walked out of the room, making my way down the stairs. Once I had gotten down there I made my way into the kitchen.
"Lona, can you-" I stopped mid-sentence as I saw Lona smiling down at a girl who was playing with Archie. She did not look familiar just from looking at her back. She had black curly hair, big black curly hair.
"Oh! Mr. Oakes!" Lona greeted. "Is there a problem?"
"Uh, yes." I ripped my eyes away from the girl to Lona. "I need help bottoning my shirt sleeve." She nodded and walked over to me, buttoning my sleeve. When she was done she walked over to the mystery girl.
"Miss Cierra, I think you should meet your other boss." She smiled down at the girl. The girl looked up at Lona and nodded, making her hair bounce. She got up and turned around, extending her hand.
"Hi, I'm Cierra Joseph. The new dog sitter..." Once her eyes had met mine, she had began to trail off. Once I had looked in her eyes, I had immediately recognized who she was.
The Milk Chocolate Beauty. We stared at each other, out hands connected. Her mouth fell open a bit as she looked at me from head to toe. Her mouth then closed as she looked around the house, like I had just said something crazy.
It was actually a very cute look for her.
"Jerome Oakes." I greeted. Her eyes flickered from the house, back to me.
"I know." She mumbled, looking around as if she hadn't said it. "Nice to meet you." She gave me a small smile.
"You too. Hopefully you will enjoy this job and enjoy Artie and Archer also." Her smile got a little wider.
"Hopefully I will." She nodded in agreement. The moment had gotten awkward as, Cierra and I, continued to shake hands and just look at each other. Neither of us knowing what to say.
"Alright," Lona smiled. "I think I should continue the tour with Cierra. And Sir, you should get to work. You are now running late." She said, handing me my briefcase.
"Right, thank you." I let go of small Cierra's hand and grabbed my briefcase. When I looked back at her she was looking at that I was holding.
Does she feel the tingling too?
"Sir? Are you alright?" Lona asked, concern written all over her face.
"I'm alright." I assured her.
