It's been a long time, I know. Sorry. Really sorry.
I had a bit of trouble when I was writing this chapter, but I finished it. I really don't know where I'm going with this book, but please bear with me and stay till the end.
Anyway, enjoy and excuse any mistakes.

Cierra's P.O.V
"He's been a complete asshole. 'Cierra take the dogs here', 'Cierra feed the dogs', and blah, blah, blah. I lost all my interest in him." I told Byron.
He sat down on my couch and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. He put the sandwich he made me on my lap, and I instantly grabbed it.
"Does that mean you're giving me a chance?" I looked at him.
"Shut up, Byron." He chuckled and brought me closer to him.
"Okay then. How about you just quit?"
I groaned. "But I need the money."
"I can help you with that. Give you some-"
"No. You don't have to. I'll just stay quiet and do my job." He sighed and kissed me on the head.
"You'll be fine."
"I know I will." I snuggled closer to him.

"Cierra, can you bring this to the basement?" Kayli asked, holding up a basket of clothes. I looked up from the food bowl and up to her.
"Well," I said politely. "I have to feed Artie and Archer, and plus it's not in my job discrip-"
"Just bring the clothes to the basement, and don't mix it with the whites please." She dropped the basket and turned around, walking away. I huffed out a breath and picked up the stupid basket.
"I'll feed you two in a minute." I told Artie and Archer, who whimpered. I sighed and began to walk towards the basement, Artie and Archer following me. While making my way there, I almost bumped into Jerome. I looked up at him and our eyes met. I quickly looked away, and continued my way to the basement. I quickly walked down the stairs and to the washing machines. I threw everything into one of the washing machines, separating them from the whites.
Maybe I should be a bitch too. Smirking, I took one of the red tops, and threw it in with the whites.
I rolled my eyes, and took out the red top. "What am I? Five?" I mumbled, quickly threw into the washing machine that had all of the colored clothes. I sighed and did all of the regular things, and soon started the washing machines.
Walking back up the stairs, I walked into the kitchen, and went in search of the dog food.
"Cierra-"
"Yes?" I stood up, looking back at Jerome, waiting for his next order.
"Did you feed the dogs?"
"No, actually, I was going to do that now."
"Why couldn't you that earlier?" He asked, crossing his arms.
"I had to do your girlfriends laundry."
"Right.." I rolled my eyes and continued my search. In a few second I found the dog food, and poured it onto the dog bowls. I felt Jerome's eyes on me, but didn't bother to glance his way.
"Babe!" Kayli squealed.
"Yes?"
"Why are you in here?"
"I came to get something to eat." I went into the fridge and grabbed the orange juice bottle. After grabbing a glass cup, I poured some orange juice in, then put the juice back into the fridge.
Have I ever described how ridiculous their fridge is?
"Oh, okay." She smiled and kissed Jerome on the cheek. "So, I saw these beautiful red bottoms. They strap on the ankle and around the toe is round. When I saw them, I thought they would be perfect for the dress that's for the movie premiere and-"
"How much are they?" Jerome asked, sitting down on the island.
"Well, they're really cheap. Only nine-hundred and forty-five dollars." (A/N: Would you believe that that's the real price?) I snorted quietly, then drank some of my juice. I guess it wasn't that quiet since Kayli looked my way.
"What's so funny?"
"The definition of what you call cheap. Shoes for nine-hundred are shoes that aren't needed, nor is that cheap."
"Well, of course it's not for you, you're poor. Unlike you, I can make my own money, doing my dream job, and can buy things like that."
I opened my mouth to reply. Isn't she asking her boyfriend to buy her the shoes?
"Kayli!" Jerome interrupted me. "Do not say things like that."
"She started it. I wasn't even paying her any mind."
Jerome sighed. "Take the black card and buy the shoes. Do not buy anything else."
"Okay! Thank you!" She kissed him on the cheek, running out of the kitchen but not before giving me a glare.
"Cierra, you cannot speak to Kayli like that, she is your boss too."
"I know that. But since the first day I was here she gave me an attitude. She makes me do her laundry, as if I'm a maid. I'm here to watch the dogs so I don't understand why I'm doing all this extra shit."
He didn't say anything so I continued my rant. "She asked you for shoes that's nine hundred dollars, when just a few weeks ago you bought her a fucking car. So yeah, I let out a little snort because it's ridiculous. If I was in her situation and was dating you, I wouldn't let you buy me shit like that. I would let you take me to Old Navy or Payless, because even though it's cheap, their shit looks good."
"All I'm saying is that if I was your girl I wouldn't have you stressing like I know you are, about how much of your money I spend. She rude and expects people who are hot on her 'level' to do work she can do for herself. Unlike her I know how to watch my surroundings and not only focus on myself." I told him simply. "I would tell you I was sorry for speaking to her like that, but I'm not."
After a few minutes of staring at me, he just sighed once again. "Why don't you go home and cool off and just come to work early tomorrow?" He suggested.
I bit my lip, and rolled my eyes. "Whatever."
Of course he wouldn't go speak to her either.
I got up and walked to the closet to get my bag. I said goodbye to Archer and Artie, then made my way out of their house.

I think this chapter is pretty short, but since I know what I want to do for the next chapter, I'll try and update soon.
You can also check out my other interracial book, Drugs, Alcohol, and a Girl With a Passion, if you'd like, there's only one chapter up for right now. But enjoy it if you do read it.
Thanks for reading!
