The feeling that everything you ever wanted to know and explore got ripped from you.

All you had thought you could be and all that you thought you could achieve crashing down on you as your life falls apart in your own hands.

Fear growing along with a sense of dread.

A weird feeling of emptiness follows suit with it, and you're left there with just your crumbed world in your hands. Now officially dust as you try to collect everything but it's no use. Some of it being lost to the wind.

So, you look to the sky wondering.

Then you realize the number of people walking by and you realize just how out of place you were simply wishing to be in a forest that contains just you, a cabin and the flowers.

No sign of life for miles but you can't because you grew up in a city and knew nothing more.

So, you sit there broken as you look around at the people almost moving in slow motion. You notice all the different people. Friends and family simply walking holding hands speaking with smiles on their faces, yet you stood there alone on the street.

Somehow the crowd of people never disappears and all you feel is the cold on your skin and the sky closing as it turns to night.

The sun gives breath to the moon, and you stood there still.

Broken and lost.

Confused as you try to comprehend what to do and just how to feel. Not a single thought that we went through was clear. All you could see in your head were trains with no station to stop at. And so, you give into gravity falling to the floor, your legs growing colder, and you start to lose feeling in them.

The crumbs of your world long lost to the wind leaving no trace of ever existing. Just like that, you had come to realize your dream had broken. It was then it seemed the world shattered around you like glass.

The dark night gave way to a pitch-black darkness and the people disappeared with the pieces of glass. Their voices fading and leaving behind a deafening silence. And so there you sat welcoming the situation as your thoughts and body just stopped.

Giving up on trying to live for a moment.

A drop of water fell on your shorts. More slowly ensued. You looked up expecting rain in this darkness only to realize your vision growing cloudy.

You reach a hand toward your face in disbelief and your voice finally speaks. You let out a broken sob until you are left a sobbing mess trying to wipe away the tears you refused to believe fell.

You just couldn't understand.

A gentle breeze blew as you finally caught your breath. Slumped on the floor with your legs now in front of you. You saw the area get lighter and you wondered what was happening.

A soft hum of what seemed to be an instrument could be heard.

What seemed almost like a movie began to play in front of you and there you saw the life that awaited you play out. One with you smiling, a smile you haven't been able to muster in years. Yet there you were older and happy. Seeming to be chatting away with people.

You tried to reach out towards the motion, yet it disappeared into the air with a light making you look up. It made the room glow and it exploded to release a bright light. Shying away for a second you closed your eyes.

When you opened them, you could once again see the image of yourself but now, they were displayed around you with the words, don't stop trying. A broken dream does not mean you can't achieve remarkable things in life.

The words disappeared into the air turning into what could be lightning bugs. A new sense of hope was found in you.

The broken dream is now causing a new sense of accomplishment and the need to continue.

There was no longer a sense of dread, and you began to feel lighter until you blacked out.
