"Hello Kathrine." Maeve stood on the doorstep, staring at Kathrine standing inside. "Come on in." Kathrine said, opening the door further to let Maeve indoors. Kathrine closed the door behind her. "It's lovely to meet you." Kathrine held out her hand and Maeve shook it. She looked nothing like Maeve expected. She was tall and her brown hair sat just below her shoulders. Her blue eyes were the colour of the ocean. Maeve imagined her to be short, with long dark brown hair and eyes matching her hair.

Maeve took off her shoes and slipped them underneath the bench next to the front door. "Come with me." Maeve followed Kathrine down the hallway and into a big, modern kitchen-come-living room. A man - who must be Paul - was standing, staring into the back garden. "Hello Maeve." Paul turned round, sipping his coffee. "Hello." Maeve stood beside Kathrine even though it made her look like a mouse standing next to an elephant. "I'll give you guys some peace." Paul walked past Maeve, out into the hallway. "You can set up here." Kathrine pointed to the dining table next to the fridge. Maeve walked through the kitchen, towards the table, while Kathrine opened a cupboard that held mugs and cups. "Would you like a coffee?" Kathrine asked, looking at Maeve as she took 2 microphones out her bag. "Yes, if that's okay." Maeve plugged her headphones into her laptop.

Kathrine handed Maeve a mug of coffee. "Thank you." Maeve said, taking a small sip before placing it down on the table. Maeve left her coffee to cool as it tasted as if it had just came from a volcano. Kathrine sat down across from Mae. "Okay, during this interview, please speak into the microphone. I will be asking you questions. Please answer in as much detail as possible." Maeve said, sliding on her headphones. "Okay. I am ready." Kathrine said into the microphone. Maeve watched the blue lines went up and down on her laptop.

THE TRANSCRIPT OF KATHRINE KLARK'S INTERVIEW

Maeve: Okay, first question. Tell me a bit about Madison before her disappearance.

Kathrine: Life was all normal. Madison was excited for her 9th birthday, it would have been her 9th birthday on the 22nd October 2015. She was becoming more independent. She was starting to go to the park with her best friend, Kaitlin, more often. About a month before her disappearance, she was saying she kept seeing this random guy wherever she went.

Maeve: Where did she see "random guy"?

Kathrine: Everywhere. She says he was there when she went to the ice cream shop with Paul, when walking out the school gates after school, at the park. She even says she saw him looking into her bedroom window once. I tried to tell the police. They said "it was just her imagination."

Maeve: Oh. What day did she disappear?

Kathrine: She went missing on the 19th October 2015

Maeve: What happened on the 19th October?

Kathrine: She went to school, like normal. The night before she had asked if she could go to the park after school. I said yes as me and Paul would be working till 5:30pm. Madison's school finished at 3pm. Maddy would come home from the park at around 4pm. So, at 4pm I got Paul's mum, Janice, to go round since I don't want Maddy to be home alone. At 4:30pm, Janice called me saying Maddy wasn't home yet. Madison had a phone at the time, she only used it for messaging me and Paul. I told Janice I would phone Madison. Madison always had her phone on her, and she always made sure it had good charge. If it ran out, she would go home. Sorry, I am babbling on a bit.

 Maeve: That's okay, that's what I need.

Kathrine: Okay, when I phoned Madison, she didn't pick up. I started getting worried at this point as the park she went to was just in front of our old house. I told Janice to keep a look out for Maddy as she ma of gone to Kaitlin's. When I got home from work, Janice still looked so worried as Madison wasn't home yet, and she wasn't in the park. Paul got home, Janice left, and I called Kaitlin's mum, Rebecca. She said Madison wasn't at her house. This is when I called the police. Maddy wouldn't have gone to any other house as Kaitlin was her only friend. The police said they would come out and see what was going on. We waited 2 hours for them to come and they finally did. They looked around the park, around the estate, asked me, Paul and some other folk questions. Then the next day they started looking round Liverstone. Me and Paul got days off work. 3 days after Madison going missing, me and Paul found her.

Maeve: Explain how you found her.

Kathrine: It was late at night, must of been around 10:30ish. I couldn't sleep, I was panicking. Me and Paul decided to go out to the Liverstone woods. We had torches, entered the woods and walked separate ways. After walking for around, what I'd say is around 20 minutes, I came across this white broken shed. I shouted for Paul, he came over and we opened the shed. There was nothing but a body-shaped bin bag laying in the middle. I opened it up, and there she was. Cuts all down her face and body. The glass shard was in her hand. It gave me really bad PTSD, it's better now but still there. We called the police again, they said they would come straight away. It must of been around 11pm when we called. I know that at 12:32am, they arrived. Me and Paul stood in the middle of the woods, basically frozen, waiting for police to come see.

Maeve: Tell me about the aftermath.

Kathrine: The police ended up getting Liverstone council to demolish the shed as it wasn't needed for anything. 2 weeks after finding Madison, her funeral was held. It was the worst day of my life. We made it public, around 2000 people showed up. 3 very long months pass, and when at work I get a phone call from the police. They say the killer owned up to all his actions. When in court, Timothy Baker (The Glass Killer) denied everything. It was as if he was too scared to own up when he saw the 12 families whose kids were murdered by him.

Maeve: I think that's all the information I need. Thanks for letting me interview you. I will message you if I need any more information.

Kathrine: No bother. I'm glad I could help you with your assignment.
