Re-reading? It's heavily edited. The core is same, but more descriptive. Hope you enjoy it.

Author's POV

Cambridge, a city in Massachusetts, USA, known for being a hub for education and innovation, due to the presence of the Ivy League University, The Harvard University. Ramona Rajvanshi and Paru Agnihotri were in their final year of MA and MBA, respectively, in this University.

Ramona always had a keen interest in political science since her school days, and when the time came, she had decided to pursue her career in this field. Even though she wasn't sure what she would do with this degree, but she loved studying this subject more than anything else.

Paru on the other hand was pursuing her Business degree to take over her family business. She was the sole heiress of Fire & Flames Hotel Chain and Raizada Textiles. But the cherry on top was her blue blood, she was the Princess of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.

Both girls lived in the same apartment that their families bought for them. Their bond was deeper than their pores, it showed....

They were family friends. Their grandfathers were friends, then their fathers as well as their mothers. So obviously, they became friends even before they were even born. No matter what happened, whether it was Bella joining their friend group in highschool or when Paru got engaged to Ramona's brother Dev Rajvanshi. The only time they would argue, would be when there would be only one piece of Baati remaining, with all heart they wanted the other one to eat it because they weren't a fan of eating baati. Especially the one made by Paru's grandfather.

It was early in the morning, at least that's what Ramona considered it. It was the first day of their final year. Unlike Ramona who was sleeping like a witch who escaped from the Chota Bheem cartoon, Paru was already on her way to college. Ramona snored till she could... It was noisy... Too noisy... But who would dare to say a word to her highness.

The sunlight was trying hard to fall through the window. However Ramona had made sure to get the thickest curtains in this whole universe, so that she could get her, '5 more minutes please' sleep every morning. She and Paru had recently returned from India as they had gone there after their exams of the previous semester.

The room was filled with pictures of Ramona, Ramona in black, Ramona in highschool, Ramona with her family, Ramona with her friends, and Ramona in traditionals.... Photogenic enough? She liked her pictures, because she liked herself. At least that's what she said. Reality was that she wouldn't dare to live in a room empty of memories. She missed her family and friends who were in India. And hence she had thought of covering every corner of her room with pictures. She was in every single of them, so that she could lie about putting them for herself instead of admitting to the fact that she missed all of them too much.

The alarm rang for the fourth time and she groaned in annoyance and that stopped it from ringing. She rubbed her eyes trying to get them clean enough to open without her eyelashes sticking up. She yawned, yawned, and at least ten times more. Dramatic!

Sitting on the bed for ten minutes trying to process if the world was real. And to digest the fact that she now had only one hour to get ready as well as reach her college. She rolled her eyes and did what every other human her age does.... Open that damn phone!

She checked her messages on Instagram and any other apps. The messages in the group chat of students discussed about the new Professor this semester. She liked the previous professor more..... Annoying!

They had anticipated this might happen, since their previous professor wanted to write books and research in the field of political science. She used to teach International Relations, Ramona liked it because she liked world politics and anything related to that was going in her favourite list.
