Asher POV

I woke up feeling annoyed. Isn't it so annoying that I have to wake up early to take a class which no one likes? Students want the professor to not come, and the professor doesn't want to go too. But professor's salary is the one winning this argument every single time. Adding the fact that I liked this subject. But that doesn't make me any less annoyed.

I looked at my wardrobe. Black? Navy blue? White? Beige? I kept thinking while looking at my clothes trying to decide what to wear. It's my first day at the university. I hope there won't be some delinquent students. I mean, not like it will affect me in any way. It's not high school. But it might get annoying.

I wore black shirt-pant and coat. My hair set back with gel. My voice a little husky due to the recent cold. But I sound... Normal I guess. My gaze landed on the car keys. The same old model. If I had money, I would buy a new car before anything else.

I reached university on time. I entered the class everyone started sitting on their desks and arranged their things. Well it's good at least they know how to behave around the professor. It makes me feel.... Less annoyed today.

"Hello students, I am your new professor who will be teaching International Relations , Asher Evans." I said after getting in front of the class.

But one girl at the front seemed to be not paying any attention to my words as she had her airpods on.

As I approached her, her friend removed the airpods from her ears. And after telling her to not use them in my class anymore I started teaching.

Throughout the lecture Ms.Ramona seemed to be staring at me."Is she angry because I told her to not use airpods ?" I thought in confusion.

At canteen

Ramona and her friends were sitting and eating while waiting for Lily who said she would be back in a while but it's already been 10 minutes since she is gone.

"What is taking her so long?" Ramona said while taking the last slice of the pizza.

"Maybe she is with her boyfriend." Tylor said taking the last chicken nugget.

That's when they heard some students talking about a couple arguing loudly near the canteen. So, them being them how can they miss the drama. After all first hand tea is different.

"Do you have some other fu***r so you wanna break up ?huh!" The guy said shouting loudly at the girl who was on the verge of crying.

"YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CHEATED NOT ME" she said trying to go away.

But he held her wrist that's when they saw it was Lily.

Ramona and her friends were about to throw their hands but..

"Let go of her Mr., it's a university not a place to use violence " Asher warned the boy.

"Oh so you are the fu***r who is on her bed aren't you? Huh" the guy said sarcastically.

He was about to slap Lily but then

..

.

Bammm!

A shoe landed on his face and then a kick. It was none other than Ramona and Jessica.

And then Nicolas and Tylor joined them in beating that guy to pulp.

And when I say pulp it means he needs medical care right at that moment.

At the HOD's cabin

Lily, Ramona, Jessica, Tylor, Nicolas and Asher were there.

The professor and HOD were sitting while the students were standing with their heads down.

"I can't believe it Ms. Rajvanshi it's your first day of the final year and you are already keeping your records. Huh!" HOD said in a stern voice.

"Nicolas my dear even you ?" He said  disappointed

"Sir that guy was about to raise his hand on our friend..." Tylor said trying to put his point but was stopped in the middle by HOD.

"So you would beat him to pulp huh ? Mr. Tylor he is in the hospital mind your care sir we had to call an ambulance " he said while banging the table.

"I am sorry sir it's all my fault I should have thought of the place..." Lily said apologising.

"Lily it's not you my dear it is your friends who are like delinquents " He said putting his hand on his head. While Ramona and Tylor controlled their laughter, because that's how they are in a serious situation.

Silence covered the air of the room no one spoke anything. Just when Asher was about to say something Ramona spoke up.

"I get that opting to violence was wrong but sir that guy said such bad things about my friend and professor and was about to raise his hand so I just wanted to stop him but the fight accelerated because he bit Tylor's ear"

This was new information to everyone, including Tylor who had no idea when the guy bit his ear but knowing his friend's tactics he played along.

"Yes sir and it was so painful as I recently got my ear pierced " Tylor said putting a sad face.

Everyone knew that the piercing was a month before but obviously the HOD didn't.

"Sir, in my culture teacher is guru sir. Guru is said to be the maker, preserver and the destroyer. We Indians respect our guru a lot sir how could I just stand there and hear the insult of my guru dev" Ramona said trying to fool him as he was very enthusiastic when it came to knowing different cultures .

"We worship women sir how can I let a woman who is my friend suffer in that situation sir. This is not what my parents have taught me." She continued.

"Especially my brother! He would be so disappointed if he knew I was there and did nothing for my friend and teacher." she added at last because the HOD won't say a word when it comes to her brother.

After all Dev Rajvanshi was the young CEO of Rajvansh group of companies not only a big businessman but also the trustee of the university. He loved his sister a lot and spoiled her a lot.

As soon as she mentioned Dev in her conversation the HOD told them to go back and pay for the medical damages and apologise.

Meanwhile Asher was thinking just one thing "She is cunning, even more than a fox"

While only one thing was in the mind and heart of Ramona " He helped my friend. He is so kind"

And again the song played in her heart and every cell of her body danced to its lyrics.
