"of course i will billie." i said and kissed her lovingly as she put the ring on my finger. she kissed me back, softly, and i could feel her whole body tremble. "do i really make you that nervous?" i whispered as i pulled away from the kiss.

"shut up" she said and grabbed my chin to kiss me. i kissed her back. "we should get going, don't you think?" she said, looking into my eyes. "mhm" i hummed positively, remaining in my seat. still shocked. billie got out of the car and went over to open my door while i processed what had just happened.

"this ring billie. is so beautiful. i will wear it forever." i said as i got out of the car and she wrapped her arm around me. "where did you even get the money?" i asked, assuming it was expensive. it looked real. "i've been saving up, i wanna make the love of my life happy" she said and kissed the top of my head.

i blushed heavily and said "thank you. i love you so much". i was so flabbergasted, i couldn't even show my appreciation.

we walked into the clinic and the secretary said "m.s y/l/n?". "yes?" i replied. "room 4, the doctor is waiting for you. that's a beautiful ring by the way, congratulations" she said. "thank you so much!" i said and wrapped my arm around billie, squeezing her softly. we walked together into the room.

"so, y/n, what brings you in today?" the doctor asked. "i've been throwing up every morning for the past couple of days, having mood swings and cravings. but i'm not pregnant. i can't be pregnant" i explained. "do you use condoms?" the doctor asked. "no, but my girlfriend is infertile, she can't have kids" i explained, then added "she's intersex" as i held billie's hand.

"let's take a pregnancy test just to be sure. all it takes for one swimmer to get through" the doctor said, and handed me one from the cabinet. "the bathroom is at the end of the hallway" he said, then added "come back in 10 minutes if it's negative, so we'll do further tests".
i grabbed it and thanked him.
