*1 week later*

It had been about a week since Colby and I got into that heated argument, and I was consumed by a deep sense of guilt and regret. I couldn't stop thinking about it. Colby had been completely absent from our friend group this past week, and he was going out of his way to avoid me at school. The thought of losing him was devastating, and I had no idea how I was going to fix this.

In a desperate attempt to take my mind off the situation, I had invited Phoebe over to hang out. I had confided in her about the fight, but I had left out a lot of the details, including the fact that Colby was a villain. "I'm sure things will work out," Phoebe said, trying to reassure me, but her words did little to alleviate the anguish I was feeling.

"I don't know, I really messed things up," I said, my voice laced with sadness and despair.

"Have you tried talking to him?" Phoebe asked, her brow furrowed with concern.

"Yes, but he keeps avoiding me," I sighed, the frustration evident in my tone.

"What if you went over to his house?" she suggested, her eyes filled with a glimmer of hope.

"I don't know," I said, my voice wavering with uncertainty.

"You need to talk to him," Phoebe insisted, her tone firm and unwavering.

"I know," I groaned, throwing myself onto my bed in a fit of anguish.

Suddenly, Phoebe's expression shifted, and a small smile crept across her face. "Remember how I said someone was planning to ask you to homecoming?" she said.

"What? Yes," I replied, my curiosity piqued.

"It was Colby... he wanted to ask you," she revealed, her words sending a shockwave through my entire being.

"Really?" I said, my eyes widening in shock and disbelief. The revelation hit me like a ton of bricks, and I felt a surge of emotions wash over me - a mix of hope, regret, and a desperate desire to make things right.

"Yes, look, you really need to talk to him," Phoebe said in a serious tone, her eyes locking onto mine with unwavering intensity. "Colby was planning to ask you to homecoming, and that means he cares about you. You can't just let this rift between you two continue."

"Okay... I will, soon," I answered, feeling a mix of apprehension and determination.

"Not soon, now," Phoebe demanded, her voice firm and unyielding.

"Phoebe, you're here. I can't just leave you," I said, trying to find a way to delay the confrontation.

"Now," she said in a serious tone, leaving no room for argument.

"Okay... okay, I'm going," I said, reluctantly walking out of my room.

I wasted no time, running straight to Colby's house. My heart was beating faster than it had ever beaten before, and I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins. I knocked on his front door, and his sister, Amy, answered.

"Can I help you?" she asked.

"I need to talk to Colby, is he home?" I asked, my voice trembling with nervousness.

"Yeah... Colby, it's for you," Amy said, walking away.

Moments later, Colby appeared at the door, his expression one of annoyance.

"What?" he said in an irritated tone.

"Can we please talk... privately?" I pleaded, my eyes filled with a desperate hope.

He rolled his eyes and reluctantly closed the door behind him.

"Thank you," I said, mustering a small smile.

"I thought I wasn't worth losing your job for," he said in an irritated tone, the hurt and resentment evident in his voice.

My face fell, and I felt a pang of guilt. "Colby... I am so sorry about the other day. I didn't mean it, I was just scared," I said, my voice laced with sadness.

"I don't get you, Vi... you say you like me, then you push me away. Why can't you just make up your mind?" he said, his annoyance still palpable.

My heart ached, and I struggled to find the right words. "You know, it really sucks, because I liked you... a lot," he added, turning to walk away.

In a moment of desperation, I reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling him into a kiss. "I have made up my mind," I said, pulling away and smiling at him.

"I love you, Colby," I said, my eyes shining with a newfound clarity and conviction.

"I love you too," he said, a smile spreading across his face as he leaned in for another kiss.

This felt right, and I knew in that moment that I had made the right decision. I loved Colby, and he loved me, and that was all that mattered. As we spent the rest of the day together, I couldn't help but worry about what would happen if our parents found out. But for now, I was just grateful to have Colby back in my life, and I was determined to make the most of our time together.

After spending the day with Colby, it was time for me to head home. As we said our goodbyes, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The thought of our parents finding out about our relationship was constantly weighing on my mind.

As I walked through the front door, I could feel my heart racing. If my mom found out Colby was a villain she would kill him and I couldn't loose him

Later that night, as I was getting ready for bed, my mind kept returning to the same question: what would happen if our parents found out? I knew that the consequences could be severe, and I couldn't bear the thought of losing Colby or facing the wrath of our families.
