"You've got to be fucking kidding me", I say out loud. His office was a mess and I had no clue where to even start. "And you expect me to figure all of this out", I say looking at Jordan," Where am I supposed to even start?" Jordan walks over to the desk and moved a few papers around. "Maybe start with the computer, I don't know Taylor but you've gotta start somewhere. I've got a meeting at seven p.m. and a doctor coming to check on Jamal in three more hours, figure it out", Jordan said leave me alone. As I looked around the room I decide the computer would be my best bet. I would have to go through all of these papers and organize them but for now I needed a quick fix. I turn on the computer and an email pops up:

He had emails from someone explaining something I couldn't quite figure out now. But it had to be a clue or a start, and a start was better than nothing. I pick up one of the papers on the desk and read it. It was a paper explaining something about some politician who had raped a young girl and left her for dead. Picking up another paper and reading it I see more things about this politician like where he lives, his wife's name, what she does when he's not around, his three daughters, their names and where they go to college. I pick up another paper and see the mayors name on it, his paper had recipes from every time he bought drugs from Jamal or anyone in Jamal's crew. Also pictures of him cheating one his wife with various trans women. Putting the pieces together I realize all of these papers are for Jamal to use against anyone that tries to go against him. Smart, but also very risky, and dangerous. I decide to keep the papers and organize them by name adding them into a file cabinet in alphabetical order by last name.
After I get all of the papers put away I reveal a list taped to the desk. It was a list of phone numbers and names of all the connects and of all the people he worked with. I also see a calendar with different meetings starting this Friday at 9 a.m. and today is Wednesday. Snatching me out of my thoughts the business phone on Jamal's desk rings. I walk over hesitant to answer the phone. I pick it up and someone starts talking on the other end. "Jamalll, man, finally you answer the phone. What's the hold up, my boys say they still haven't got that drop. Everything good on your end," the man asked. "I'm Jamal and Jordan's new partner I'll be stepping in to help while Jamal is on vacation", I say quickly regretting it. "Jamal's on vacation, nah something ain't right, listen I don't know what's going on but I don't do business with outsiders", he said. " Well how about this, I'll get ahold of your men and have their drop ready in a few more days, and I'll meet you at the meeting Friday morning", I say back. "I mean business is business, don't think I won't ask around about this shit. See you at the meeting sweet heart", he said hanging up the phone. Guess I'm in this now I think to myself. Looking more into the calendar I see a big red circle around the 30th of May saying a trip to Cuba. I realized at this moment that the drug business didn't stop. Jamal done a lot more than I thought keeping things in check, he was the power and front runner of his families business, and now I had to fill those shoes.
