Chapter 3

Suddenly there was only three of us. The three who lived the longest from school.

Me, Aleena and Zayden.

When we came to my house Aleena and Zayden said bye to me and I smiled back and then I walked to my house.

I just put my backpack down just inside the house before I turned and walked away from my house.

I walked in the opposite direction of where Aleena and Zayden disappeared. I had only been walking for about 10 minutes when I saw the book store.

My smile came with out even thinking. I increased my speed and then I was there.

Standing just outside the black barrier called a door, the windows showing all the books inside.

I pushed the door open and a bell alerted the people who was in there of my presence. Then the smell of book came at me, it was the world's best smell on earth.

I reached for a book and looked at the cover, it had beautifully crafted artwork for a angel. It looked like she was standing inside a church of some kind.

The light from the window just before her, making her look like a shadow.

I put the book down carefully and walked to the next one that caught my eye.

I didn't know how much the clock was when I heard the bell for the fourth time, it wasn't an unpleasant sound. I didn't really mind.

I picked up a book and put it on top of the stack I had made. I startled as a hand grabbed the top of my arm.

"Hey, do you need any help" a male voice said. I turned to see who it was. I almost dropped my stack of 11 books as I saw Zayden.

Oh shit, how dumb I must look holding 11 fucking books.

I smiled at him, teeth and all. "Hii" I said a little to excited.

He put his arms under mine and took the books from me. "Oh my, how many books do you have?" He said calmly.

"Just 11" I looked down.

"Just?" He said, and I thought he made fun of me before he said something else. "I usually buy more to be honest" he smiled at me. "Come on" he nodded to the cashier.

"Thank you" I said and was about to find a card to pay but Zayden turned me around.

"Can you get me a book?" He asked "just any you would think I would like" he added.

I turned and walked towards the nearest bookshelf, it took me approximately 2 minutes to find a book I would 100% read.

I turned and saw that the books I had found where already put in two bags.

I walked over to Zayden and handed him the book. He placed it down and the cashier took it. He paid and I was so confused.

I turned to the cashier and asked "am I going to pay now?" She smiled and answered "your boyfriend just did" I was shocked.

"You paid for 11 of my books?" I was mind blown, "that's like really expensive" I said and Zayden just nodded.

"I know, shall we leave now?" He asked plainly, but before he could move I was hugging him. My arms around his stomach my head on his chest.

It took a few seconds but he hugged me back.

"Thank you so so so much" I said and hugged him again. And then he turned and I grabbed his arm and we walked out of the store.
