Chapter 2

"Em!" A voice behind me yelled and I smiled knowing fully well who it was.

I turned just as Aleena caught up with me, she gave me a huge hug and I hugged her back.
She always did that. Hugged you. It was such a great thing about her.

She was smiling at me, her perfect teeth on display. Her hijab was black today, it fit her perfectly.

"Come on Em's" she said grabbing my arm and pulling me after her.

We walked towards the school entrance when I saw Zayden, he was watching us. Or maybe me.
No stop. Your to delusional.

I directed my gaze towards the entrance instead, but something caught my eye. I little flash before Ember was standing beside us.

"Oh my god" I sighed and gave Ember an annoyed look before she smiled apologetically. "That scared the crap out of me" Ember laughed and took Aleena's unoccupied arm in hers.

Ember had the power to teleport wherever she wanted, I was so jealous of her.
She had blond hair, almost white, she had dark blue eyes.

Aleena almost never used her powers even though she had such a cool one, she could become invisible like both of her parents and she could control water.

Zayden's powers was almost as cool, he could control things with his mind. I think that's sick.

I need to stop, in yapping none stop just in my head.

I didn't even notice that we had stopped by my locker, but it wasn't that weird. Our friend group always met up here.

Our friend group consisted of 6 people, me, Aleena, Ember, Alex or Alexander but we just call him Alex. He has light brown hair and blue eyes, and he can fly.

And then we have Samual, he is the kindest person ever, and you won't be surprised when I say he has the power to heal others. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.

And then we have Benjamin with his brown hair and brown eyes, always a smirk on his face. He could summon and control lightning, it was sick to watch.

So that was our friend group, I opened my locked and grabbed my maths book, because I had maths in my first class.

When I closed the locker I jumped a little, guess who was standing there leaning against the lockers beside mine.

Grinning.

Yep, you guessed it Benjamin.

"You scared me" I sighed and right when I said the two hands grabbed my waist and I startled before turning and glaring at a blond boy smiling shyly at me.

He was just taller than me with his blue eyes locks on mine, I stared him down and hit him playfully in the shoulder.

"Why do everyone keep scaring me today" I sighed still looking at Samuel.

"What are we talking about?" Alex came walking over to us.

"Thank you" I exclaimed and Alexander looked at me questioningly.

"Forget it, it's nothing important" and then I left my group heading for my class.

"Emelie wait, we have the same class" Benjamin's voice said behind me as he jogged up to me. He fell into a walk beside me.

"Hi Benji" I said.

"Hi Em" he said like it was a question.

"How are you today?" I chuckled at his expression and walked into class and sat down at a desk almost at the back.

Benjamin sat down beside me. "Well your wired today" he pointed out.

I sighed "I know" and then I opened my book.

"Hey Emelie!" Aleena yelled from the school entrance as I was standing on the sidewalk away from school waiting for them.

Aleena, Benjamin, Alex and Ember was walking together no sign of Samuel.

When they came up to me Alex said "Sam is coming soon" I just nodded in response.

"Oh yeah, and also Zayden will come with to" she said and I just shrugged, he didn't often come with us but sometimes he just wanted some company home.

"He isn't going to hang with his friends?" Ember asked, Aleena shook her head and then Samuel came.

"Hey Sam" I said hand he waved his hand. I saw Zayden behind him. Our eyes met and I gave him a small smile and he smiled slightly back.

Aleena, Ember and Alex had already walked away, but they wasn't far away. I waited mostly for Samuel but also for Zayden.

"Hi" I said to Zayden as he approached and he just nodded to me. I turned around and started walking Sam beside me.

Zayden was just behind us for a good 5 minutes before I started to slow down. When I was in pace with him, Sam jogged and caught up with the others.

"Dude" I sighed and he just gave me an raise of his eyebrows. "Come on, you don't talk and I'm bored" he looked amused.

"Well, entertain me" I said and he laughed.

"Your kinda funny" I looked up at his face, he was a good 2 or maybe 3 feet taller then me.

Suddenly he grabbed my waist and pulled be towards him, I stumbled and fell against him. He was looking towards where I was about to step. I looked to and saw a pretty big hole in the ground.

I was a little ashamed and I hid my face in his jacket without thinking. Before I released I still was clinging to him. I jumped back and he grabbed my wrist.

Keeping me from falling into the hole again.

I held my hands up to my face to cover it. He laughed slightly, "you okay?" He asked and I nodded but didn't take my hands away.

I felt his gentle touch on my arm as he slowly lowered my arms, my face was probably red and flushed.

I was so embarrassed.

"Hey!" I startled and looked up to see Aleena waiting with the rest of the group a good distance away.

"Sorry coming" when we catches up with them Zayden fell in step with Aleena.

"Your friend almost fell in a hole twice" he said and she laughed and looked at me, I just shook my head disapproving at her.
