Third person POV
" Hell yeah! Another mission with Yuno, can't wait! Asta cheered happily outside the Clover Kingdom to his squad mates, waiting for the Golden Dawn members to arrive. Vanessa let out a hum, her cheeks pink from all the alcohol she had consumed this morning, " Let's get this over with so I can drink more wine,"
Noelle raised her eyebrow, " Don't you think you drink enough? " Vanessa just shook her head, smiling innocently, " Nope!"
Luck just laughed whilst trying to get Magna to fight him by setting his clothes on fire using his electricity. Final let out a heavy sigh at their usual behaviour, " Will you guys calm down? We've only been here for what, 5 minutes? And you already want a battle?"
The sight of the three familiar Golden Dawn members came into view in the sky on their brooms. Mimosa blushed at the sight of her crush, Asta, who was grinning at Yuno excitedly. Yuno however showed no emotion as usual as they walked over.
Charmy asked, " What was the mission again? I forgot from the taste of all this yummy food,"
Vanessa responded, throwing the empty wine bottle on the floor, " We were told to keep an eye out for Diamond Kingdom mages who are trying to sneak into the Clover Kingdom. Only for an hour and someone else will come and take our place,"
Klaus scoffed, keeping his usual high status behaviour but deep down he wasn't all like that, " You mean I have to stay with shortie here for an hour? You may as well kill me at this point," Asta sent him an offended look before they began to continuously attack each other with insults. Vanessa groaned in annoyance, holding her temples, " Will you guys keep it down? My head is killing,"
Finral sweat-dropped, " That's your fault for having so much wine before a mission,"
" It was a new flavour I couldn't help myself!"
Luck accidentally shot a large electricity blast at the cliff behind them, causing it to crumble into pebbles and small rock. Magna's jaw dropped, turning to a laughing Luck, " Are you trying to kill me?!"
When the dust of the debris went, a large cave was seen underneath. It had ancient writing around the entrance, peeking the team's curiosity. Asta's eyes sparkled, " So cool! We definitely should go in!" Noelle gently smacked him across the back of the head, " Bakasta! You don't even know what's in there," " That's the fun part! And ow!"
After minutes of convincing them, they finally were persuaded as they walked into the dark depths of the cave. Magna used his fire magic to light up all the wooden torches that were against the rock walls. Asta spotted a large room ahead that had a barrier around something, clearly protecting it. He ran over but instead, ran into another barrier that was invisible, stopping anyone who saw come in.
He rubbed his nose with a whine whilst Vanessa hummed, placing her hand on the barrier, " It's made of magic, but I can't sense any mana? No wonder no one has found this,"
Asta wasted no time and sliced the magic spell with his large sword. Most of his team sweat-dropped from how fast he thought without even thinking. Then he did the same with the much larger one, ignoring his friend's orders to stop through panicked voices.
They expected to find gold or magical items, but no, instead was a girl around Yuno's age asleep. Her white hair was long and spread out around her and beside her was two scaly looking eggs. Around her was a spell, a purple - black one, that hovered around her, which was clearly keeping her asleep.
Mimosa ran up to the sleeping girl, clearly worried for her safety and checked her pulse, " She's alive! But she's in some kind of deep sleep," Asta knew what he had to do and sliced the sleeping spell, causing it to crack into small glass pieces.
After a few minutes, the girl's eyes slowly began to flutter open, the darkness of the cave made it look like her lilac eyes were almost glowing. Most of the boys in the group blushed from her beauty as she looked around, " Where am I?"
She tried to stand up but her legs gave in on her, falling into someones arms. She looked up to meet with golden eyes staring down at her. He sighed and picked her up bridal style with no emotion. " Let's take her to the Wizard King, he'll know what to do," Asta placed the weird eggs on your chest and nodded before they all set off to the castle.
The ride was silent as the girl trembled from how cold she was outside. Mimosa had to create a spell that summonsed a healing blanket to wrap around her. When they arrived at the palace, the Wizard King sent a confused glance at the girl but sent her in the infirmary for her to be looked after.
