Y/n's POV:
It's been a few months since you first snuck out to the market. Your dragons were too big to fit in your room now, so they were an excuse to go outside and sneak down to the village to meet with your secret rebellion. You've almost got half of the town with your support.
Not only that, but you would meet with your friend Dave at the library most of the time since he also loved books. And because you wanted to know what he was hiding.
Yuno has taken notes from all your disappearances and began to grow suspicious, along with Mimosa. So he followed you into the towns library and hid behind a book case, watching your every move.
You ran over to the black haired male who had a book in his hand and pulled him into a tight hug, " Dave! " He chuckled and hugged you back, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck. Yuno's eyes widened at the scene as a pit of jealousy was felt in his gut at the sight. The scene made his blood boil and he has never experienced this kind of emotion.
He let go off you, his grin was to adorable. He was the shy and nervous type, but he got used to your friendship after a few months. " Aren't you supposed to be up there? With all the higher status people?"
You shrugged, a playful expression made its way to your face, making him laugh. This time, you didn't come down here to meet him. In secret, you had bought this library after finding out it had a hidden passageway that led underneath the ground. The previous owner didn't mind when you gave him the two large bags of gold coins, money was everything in this town.
" They should be arriving any minute now," Dave sent you a confused look, " Who?"
As if on cue - your rebellion walked in, only a few since the rest were doing their jobs and didn't have time to come. A small smirk settled on your face as they all kneeled down in front of you, " It's nice to see you again, your majesty," One of them stated. They then got up, they always did it before coming in.
You looked at Dave, " Dave, meet the rebellion. Of course this isn't even half of everyone but they all have my respect and I have theirs,"
He looked at the people in shock whilst Yuno tensed at the realisation of you having your memory back. He couldn't help but feel guilty for keeping this from you and he knew that the relationship between you both would have changed. He also wondered what the Wizard King was going to think now that you remember.
A woman, who was called Annabeth, stepped forward, " When do we get to attack and for you to finally take the throne? " You smiled at the ambition in her gaze, " When my dragons are fully grown. They're young adults now, so in a few months, we'll attack when the defences are lowest,"
Everyone began to whisper to each other, excited for that time. It's been ages since they have been under the tyranny of Augustus, and now it was finally going to end. A book fell from the bookshelf a few metres away and Yuno was seen behind the book case. Your eyes widened slightly as your heart missed a beat, but kept your composure. He walked out from behind the stand, unfazed and looked at everyone.
" Yuno! What are you doing here?" You asked him, frowning slightly,
" I should be asking you that. I see you have gotten your memories back?"
Anger coursed through your veins, your lilac eyes reflecting the light of the fire. You stepped forward, no look of a smile that once graced your features that was now a frown, " You knew? That I was the true princess and heir to the throne of the Clover Kingdom? And you didn't tell me?"
He sighed heavily, placing his hand through his long locks, but he had a hint of guilt within his golden gaze. Only you knew him well enough to spot that. Not only did you feel anger, but you felt betrayed and hurt. " It was the Wizard Kings order, he was trying to protect you from Augustus,"
You scoffed, " I can protect myself! " He rolled his eyes, " You couldn't when you were awoken from that spell. Your body was weak and fragile",
He had a point. You could barely stand for minutes when you awoke, it took weeks to recover and for your body to fully function again. However you were stubborn and didn't accept defeat in an argument. " That doesn't change the fact you tried to stop me from taking the throne!"
Yuno was about to speak to defend himself but he was right. Everyone tried doing that to you, suppressing you from your true power. He looked at the floor, feeling guilty but he knew he had to do that to protect you.
You blinked away the tears that formed in your eyes, hating the fact that you argued with a friend you've known for almost a year, but in the end, you questioned whether he was a true friend.
You looked at your people, who stood there awkwardly, " I'll see you all in our next meet up," Then you walked away and headed back to the Golden Dawn base.
