Y/n's POV:
Yes, there was word that there was a new rebellion forming against the Spade Kingdom. They were outraged that the royal family they once looked upon had killed two of their family members. And they were tyrants.
And today they had sent a request for you to welcome them into the Clover Kingdom's walls for you to join. Your advisors were trying to convince you not to except, since it could be a trap, but you had a feeling that these were the key to getting your revenge.
So you accepted and the next day, they all arrived into the palace. They weren't big, but they weren't small either. They smiled when they saw you walk towards them with Yuno and two guards behind you. In case of any surprise attacks.
The leader of the rebellion, a guy named Eric, bowed respectfully, " It's an honour for you to accept our request your majesty, thank you," The man wasn't as old as you, possibly the same age. His eyes were green and his hair was long and black. His jawline was sharp and his gaze was almost piercing.
You nodded, " It's a pleasure to have a rebellion here. Please, no need for the formality,"
Eric commented, " I was Prince Davian's friend in the palace. I was his most trusted guard. There's more of us, but we couldn't all come,"
Your heart clenched at the mention of his name, but you nodded nonetheless, forcing a smile. The woman beside him, who looked like his Mother, stepped forward, " We actually came because there is someone who wants to meet you. He lays in the mountains with the others, but he can't show his face,"
You raised your eyebrow at the other request. It was and did sound suspicious; but if you take Yuno and your two large dragons, nobody would stand a chance against attacking you. Your advisors sent you looks that clearly said don't accept, but you wasn't exactly the person to listen to others opinions.
So you accepted.
They seemed happy by your approval and you signalled Yuno to follow you. He obliged as you walked out of the palace and onto the castle grounds, the large garden where your Dragons slept. You had told the rebellion to lead the way, and they did whilst you and Yuno rode your two large dragons towards where their hideout is.
It wasn't far, it was a hidden cave that was deep within a Rocky Mountain. The dragons slept outside whilst you all went inside. The cave was dark, the only thing that lit up and chased away the darkness of the cave was lit up torches, Following the eerie, rocky passage, you came into a lot brighter area and a lot bigger. There were tents neatly placed everywhere with the light shining through a large hole in the wall.
Everyone stopped talking and looked at you in shock and awe, clearly exited that you were here. You just sent them kind smiles, trying to act as polite as possible. Yuno stepped closer to you protectively, not trusting these people completely.
" Y/n?"
Your whole body froze from the sound of that voice, the voice you'd thought you would never hear again. Your heart dropped to your stomach as you forced yourself to turn around, not noticing the tears that were slowly forming in the corner of your eyes.
Davian.
You wasted no time and threw yourself onto him, hugging him tightly like he would leave all over again. He chuckled and returned the hug, ignoring the jealousy aura coming from Yuno. You pulled away and noticed the scar that went across his cheek to the corner of his lip. " I thought you were dead! You sent me a letter -",
He looked down, looking guilty, and explained, " I'm sorry, I had to make sure my ' death ' was believable. I'm planning on taking the throne, just like you did, but in my Kingdom. I barely managed to get away, but I did,"
You hugged him once more and wiped your tears. He didn't seem like the shy and nervous boy he once was. He looked more brave and fierce, and that scar across his cheek added to that look.
You asked, " I'm guessing you'd want me to help? Considering I have two dragons and a whole kingdom army?"
He nodded, " Yeah, although the dragons will be fine. I plan to take it next week, so it was important you would come this early," He was silent for a moment, " Are you in?"
