Y/n's POV:
A few days later, becoming Queen was anything you could have ever wanted. You made the people happy by spending hours listening to their problems and solving them, which was a change since King Augustus didn't care about them, only the money he got from them.
You and Yuno have also been great. He would take you on evening dates when your schedule of ruling was finished. It was very romantic, and you even had thoughts of making him King. However he sometimes refused since his goal was becoming the Wizard King, this you respected.
For the past few months you've been planning on attacking the very same Kingdom who betrayed their Prince, or at least the royal family did. The fact that they killed him without an act of sympathy made your blood boil and the thirst for revenge coursed through you. You weren't going to let your best friend die in vain.
However, your royal advisors and your friends have been trying to convince you not to attack since it could bring war to the Clover Kingdom. It was true, but your vengeance was stronger.
You looked at yourself in the mirror, looking at the clear eye bags that were under your eyes. They didn't take away your beauty, just made you look more tired. Nightmares of your past were coming back, about what happened to you with Prince Evrin, his touch and the trauma.
Then there was the memories with Davian, how his smile was always contagious and made you smile. You wanted him back, so bad. Your heart clenched from the thought of his sacrifice.
A knock on your door was heard and with your permission, Yuno walked in. You knew it was him since you let him wrap his arms around you from behind. He rested his head on your shoulder, silently breathing in your scent of flowers and lavender, " You need to sleep properly, it's affecting you,"
You just leant into his body, your whole body aching from exhaustion. With this you still kept on going, even if it physically hurt you, " You know I've been struggling with my nightmares, it's easier said than done," You responded whilst burying your face into his shoulder.
He was silent for a moment and just watched your exhausted body through the mirror in concern. He let out a heavy sigh and scooped you up bridal style, making it look effortless. You let out a small screech of surprise and watched as he carried you over to the bed. He gently placed you down onto the soft sheets and tucked you in. Then he got in beside you, " If you're not going to sleep then I'll make you. You're safe with me, I promise,"
You rested your head on his chest with his arm over your waist, holding it securely. This was when you realised his warmth and presence chased away the anxiety of your dreams. He kissed your forehead, " Now go to sleep, Y/n, I'll be right here with you,"
With that - your eyes slowly closed and the tiredness had caught up with you.

The next morning, the sun tickled your skin but your body refused to get up from the great nights rest you had. Instead, you buried your face deeper into something comfy and heard a familiar, low chuckle, " Have a nice sleep?" Yuno asked. You looked up at him, your hair slightly messy and gently went over your shoulders. He found it adorable.
You just let out a small groan and went back to sleep on his chest. " Okay grumpy pants, you have two hours anyway until you need to get ready," You nodded sleepily, enjoying the fact that you didn't have to get up early. He played with the strands of your hair as you slept more, already energised from a full nights rest.
He wanted it to be like this every morning, with you asleep in his arms and being comfortable in his own arms. He wanted to see you every morning and every moment of the day. And if it comes to it in the future, also make a family. He would propose to you right now since it's been a few months since he had confessed, but he didn't know if you were ready yet and he would wait forever for you to be truly his.
An hour later, you woke up once again to Yuno fast asleep. Since you had to be ready in an hour, you dragged yourself out of bed and got changed into a F/C dress and boots. You brushed your hair and placed it into two, baggy braids and brushed your teeth later. When you walked in from the bathroom, Yuno was rubbing his eyes, waking up from the lack of warmth from you.
You laughed and sat beside him, pecking him on the cheek, " Have a nice sleep? You sure did take up room," you commented jokingly.
He rolled his eyes but chuckled, " You didn't say that when I let you have a full nights rest,"
It was your turn to roll your eyes before he got up and wrapped his arms around you, and gently tackled you onto the bed. You laughed as he tickled your sides but the moment was interrupted by a knock on the door. You quickly got up and opened it, to see the royal advisor, Ninesa.
" Your majesty, there has been news of a rebellion that is forming against the very Kingdom you despise,"
