"Would you like to explain to me how the fuck I never knew you had a fucking brother?!" Kylie said the second she and Jason made it to their room. This was supposed to be a fun trip for the girl's Spring Break, but it was starting off like this. She felt lied to; she felt like Jason was suddenly a completely different person than the one she had known and fallen in love with.
"Trav just has always just done his own thing." Jason tried to explain. "My parents put him out for selling drugs when he was like 16. I haven't seen him since." Jason tried to defend himself.
"So because they put him out, that meant you didn't have a fucking brother, Jason?" Kylie asked, standing in front of the man with her hand on her hip. "Are you telling me if one of our girls does something you disapprove of, you're going to put them out and never think about them again?" Jason could tell that his wife was furious, but he didn't understand why this was such a big deal to her.
"You're putting words in my mouth, Ky," Jason replied.
"Am I? Because that's exactly what it sounds like to me. Your brother did something your parents didn't approve of, so you wrote him off and left him for dead. You didn't even talk to him when you saw him." Kylie had observed the way Jason was with his brother right in front of her. It was like Travis was a stranger to him and not his flesh and blood. It was worrisome.
"He didn't talk to me either, Ky."
"I wouldn't fucking talk to you either, Jason." Kylie rolled her eyes and walked out of the cabin room and down the hallway. She needed to get the girls from the play area. It had been almost an hour since they dropped them off. The intention was for the girls to play and mingle with other kids while they unpacked and got the room situated. It had only turned into her and Jason arguing about her new findings. She could not believe this family she had been a part of for ten years had never once mentioned another family member was roaming the earth.
As she walked into the nursery area, showed her ID, and got Bennett. With Bennett on her hip, she walked to the other side of the kid's area. The kids' club was packed with children running around, dancing, and doing other activities as the characters roamed around. As she walked in, Kylie spotted Wyatt, her seven-year-old daughter, in the corner with another child and a book. Kylie raised an eyebrow, seeing Wyatt with a book. Wyatt hated everything about reading. She wasn't the greatest at it, and she tended to avoid reading. She would cry when Kylie or Jason attempted to get her to do her reading homework night after night.
She walked over to the desk and saw Taylor, Selena, and the other woman they were with showing their IDs so they could get their kids from the kid's club attraction. All three of them here are holding their cards out the same way, in the same hand, and their matching tattoos are all showing. Seeing the three of them having matching tattoos almost broke her heart. That was something she, Selena, and Taylor had always talked about growing up. They were the Three Musketeers, The Powerpuff Girls. Matching tattoos was going to be their first stop once the last of the three of them turned 18. It hurt seeing that they had followed through with their plans, only she wasn't their third anymore. She had been replaced. It shouldn't have hurt her as much as it did. They hadn't been a threesome since Taylor left a little over 20 years ago, and they had the right to replace her.
"Sterling, Bronze, Koa, Khi, and Magic, please report to the front desk for pick up." The worker announced over the speakers. She repeated herself one last time before directing her attention to Kylie. "Coming to pick up?" The worker asked, a huge smile on her face.
"Yes. Wyatt and Elliotte Kelce." Kylie said, handing her ID over to the woman that worked behind the desk. The woman looked at the ID, and then handed it back to Kylie.
