"Kill him..." Kylie uttered, emotionless.

"Kylie, are you sure about that?" Selena asked, a little panicked by the words that came from Kylie's lips. She looked over at Taylor and Travis, both of which were wearing matching smirks.

"This was planned, wasn't it?" Patrick asked, noticing the look on both of their faces.

[ FLASHBACK ]

OCTOBER 2027

"I'm done," Kylie said, walking into Taylor and Travis's bedroom without knocking. It wasn't like her to just barge in and invade their personal space, but she was at her wit's end, and it was time she voiced it to the only people she knew could get what she needed done, done.

"Well, good thing we weren't doing anything we didn't want you to see," Travis said with a small chuckle, sitting up in the bed. Taylor was partially asleep, but also awake enough to know something was wrong with Kylie.

"What's going on, Ky?" Taylor asked, already annoyed at the lack of warmth from Travis' body.

"Jason has got to go. How can we make it happen without him exposing everything?" Kylie asked, plopping down in one of the armchairs that was across from their bed. She crossed her legs and folded her arms across her chest.

"We can kill him," Taylor said, pushing her body back to connect with Travis' again.

"Yeah, but how are we going to accomplish that?" Kylie asked. The room fell silent. They were all thinking, thinking of a way to get rid of the trash that Kylie dragged to France with her without doing it on their home turf. Since they moved to France after Andrea's death, this was their safe place. Nothing of harm came their way while in France. Every bit of business they did happened in other countries and nowhere near where they were raising their family.

"We set him up," Travis said finally, breaking the silence.

"I'm listening," Kylie leaned forward in her seat.

"Tammy has been asking to see the baby..." Travis started but was interrupted.

"Who's Tammy?" Kylie asked. She had heard the name before, but she was unfamiliar with it.

"The kid's grandmother," Taylor mumbled.

"She and her husband took me in when my parents kicked me. She's a mom to me." Travis stated. "But anyways. She lived in Philly again, so if we go to Philly to visit, say for Thanksgiving, Jason won't be able to resist sneaking off to visit his parents." Travis finished, a smirk invading his face.

"It's a genius plan," Kylie said.

"And knowing Pop, once Jason sneaks off, he'll follow him to wherever he goes, and we'll finish it from there," Travis told his sister-in-law.

"Seeing Tammy is going to be the best part of the trip. Leaving without Jason is also going to be a very close runner-up," Taylor announced, opening her eyes slightly but closing them again quickly when they were met with bright light. "Ky, I love you, but can I take a nap before Kali wakes up? I would like my husband to cuddle me for this nap as well."

"I am so sorry, my queen, for interrupting your slumber," Kylie said with a laugh as she got up from the chair. "We'll finish discussing this later, Trav."

"Absolutely."

[ END OF FLASHBACK ]

"Yello," Jason's voice said through the phone. Kylie cringed at the sound of his voice. Everything about this man disgusted her now. She couldn't even put her finger on what she ever saw in him.

"So this is how you wanted to end your life?" Kylie asked the man that she had married. The man once loved to no need.

"Kylie, what are you talking about?" He asked, a nervous laugh ringing through the phone.

"You decided to sneak off and go to your parent's place without one of us to watch you, and you expect us to let you carry on living your life?" Kylie asked. "Are you out of your mind?"

"I didn't tell them anything, Ky." Jason tried to defend. "I just wanted to see them before we left again." Kylie let out a laugh, a laugh that she wasn't expecting from herself.

"You really are out of your mind. You're not coming back with us, Jason. You're staying right here, with your parents."Kylie's voice grew cold. All emotion was lost. "All three of you can burn in hell, literally."

"You don't mean that, Ky. I love you," Jason said, his voice starting to sound panicked.

"Fuck you!" Kylie let out immediately as the words were said to her. She hated him. She never in her life wanted to hear him attempt to justify his treatment of her as love. He didn't love her; he loved what she did for him, and that was to baby and coddle him as if he were a toddler instead of treating him like a grown man. "Fuck you and fuck your parents. I have my family back now. I don't need you anymore. The girls don't need you." As the words fell from her lips, she heard the sounds of the first gunshot going off, and Jason let out a loud groan. "Bye bye, mother fucker." She told him, hanging up the phone.

"Are you good?" Taylor asked from the front seat of the SUV. They had a perfect view of the house that Jason and his parents were in, with two members of their crew.

"Better than good," Kylie said, watching a figure come out of the house and get into the SUV that Jason had driven to his parent's house. The SUV backed out of the driveway and passed them as it drove down the street out of the neighborhood.

"It was the end of a decade," Travis said, looking at the house he had grown up in. The flames were starting to overtake the roof quickly. Two more figures walked out of the front of the house. When they reached the sidewalk, they went their separate ways.

"But the start of an age," Taylor finished his motto for him. She looked over at him, noticing the small pain that he was trying to hide. This was his childhood up in flames. It was the family that he so desperately wanted to rekindle with, that he wanted to love him again, ending. She took hold of her husband's hand, stroking his knuckles gently. His eyes met with hers, and he forced a smile, bringing her hand to his lips.

"I love you, Pretty," Travis said softly, only loud enough for her to hear him.

"I love you, more," Taylor replied, just as softly.

"You and the girls; you are all the family I will ever need," he told her, kissing her hand another time.

"The future is going to be as bright as these flames," Kylie murmured as they watched the house burn.
