Chapter 20: Martin Heiss

The female Ghostbusters were all dancing together, celebrating their first capture.

However, the mood was ruined by Braedey and Egon saying they have bad news.

"What is it?" asked Sean.

"Well," said Egon, "This portal that we need to make, will not be easy, and well, we need a ghost to power it."

"Well, why not use Slimer?" asked Peter.

"No, we need, the same ghost, that brought us here," said Braedey.

"The one that makes the wormholes?" asked David.

"It doesn't just make wormholes," said Braedey, "It IS a wormhole. And it can appear and disappear in any world it wants at any time."

"Great," said Seth, "This is gonna be a needle in a haystack!"

"Hey, guys," said Jasmine, "You got a visitor."

"And I don't think you're gonna like him," said Janine.

Everyone looked, to see Martin Heiss from TV earlier.

"Dr. Martin Heiss," said Erin.

Peter got up, and said, "Hello there, you handsome devil. Name's Dr. Peter Venkman."

"Nice to meet you," said Martin, "Must say, you are not bad looking yourself. Are we related?"

"I don't think so," said Peter.

"Alright," said Seth, "Enough with the showboating."

"Dr," said Abby, "We were just doing some experiments."

"Please, have a seat," said Erin.

"Let's start nice and easy," said Martin, "WHY are you pretending to catch ghosts?"

"Well," said Seth, "That's your opinion."

"Sir," said Braedey, "What we do here, is TRUE science. Paranormal Studies is still a relatively new department, and we are here to prove that there is more beyond the grave."

"Braedey, Braedey," said Erin, "Please. We all believe, in the scientific method, and we have actually done it."

Erin grabbed the trap, and showed it to Martin, saying, "Today, at 4:32 P.M. we have successfully captured, a Class 3 Vapor."

"You're telling me," said Martin, "That there's a ghost, inside that thermos?"

"Actually," said Seth, smirking, "We've got something better for you."

"And what is that?" asked Martin, unimpressed.

Seth took a deep breath, and yelled, "SLIMER!!! THERE'S A MAN IN A GREY UNIFORM WHO HAS COOKIES!!!"

Slimer then burst through the wall, and Martin nearly jumped from his seat, as Slimer said, "OH BOY!! COOKIES!!!"

Slimer then slimed Martin, looking all over him.

"NO!! WAIT, STOP!! AH HA HA HA HA!!" laughed Heiss, "I'M TICKLISH!! STOP IT!! PLEASE!! NO, NOT THERE!! STO-HA-HA-HAP!!"

"You see," said Seth, "Our friend Slimer here, is a Class 5 Ectoplasmic Entity. Or in simple terms, a real ghost we are able to study up close."

Slimer then came out, and said, "No cookies."

"Hey, it's okay buddy," said Seth, "I picked some up for you."

Slimer was handed a box of cookies, as Martin slowly got up, and looked at Slimer from all angles.

"I... I don't believe it," said Martin, "An..... actual, ghost?"

Martin then started poking Slimer, and felt slime on his fingers.

"Yeah," said David, "Although, while he does slime you from time to time, it's just his way of showing he likes you."

"And not to mention how much he can eat," said Sean, "I really regret taking him to that all you can eat buffet."

"There's also our friend here, Tamara," said Patty, "She's what you'd expect from a ghost."

Tamara appeared from thin air, and shook hands with Martin, saying, "Pleasure to meet you sir."

Martin looked at Slimer and Tamara, and said, "I-Is there a chance I could see that other ghost? In the thermis?"

"Actually," said Abby, "We don't have a containment unit to store it, so, until then, it's gonna have to stay in there."

"Hey, guys," said Kevin, "There's something up with those boxes. I think a ghost was inside it."

"WHAT!?" exclaimed the others.

Just then, the ghost from the mansion grabbed the trap, and flew off with it.

"KEVIN YOU IDIOT!! THAT WAS ONE OF OUR TRAPS!!" yelled Seth, "AND YOU JUST LET THAT GHOST FREE!!"

Just then, two men came up the stairs, and asked, "Ghostbusters?"

"Not now!" said Seth, "This dunder head just set loose a ghost we need to get back!"

"The mayor wants to see you all."
