Chapter 11: The Mayor

"Hey guard!" said Sean, "I wanna make a phone call!! I wasn't even with them!! I just work with them!!"

In the cell, the rest of the Ghostbusters were looking at the blueprints of Amy's apartment, and the rest of the prisoners actually found it interesting.

Braedey then comments, "The structure of this building's roofcap is exactly like the kind of telemetry tracker NASA uses to identify dead pulsars in deep space."

"Cold, riveted girders with cores of pure selenium," said Titan, pulling out the blueprints.

"Everyone getting this so far?" asked David, as he turned to Titan, "So what? I guess they just don't make them like they used to, huh?"

Titan then smacked David's head, saying, "NO!! Nobody ever made them like this!! I mean the architect was either a certified genus or an authentic wacko!"

"Hey, Titan," said Seth, "I'm not getting this right now, so cut the bullshit, and tell me what the hell is going on."

Titan sighed, "Seth, the whole building, is a huge super-conductive antenna, designed to pull in and concentrate spiritual turbulence. Your girlfriend, lives in the corner of spook-central."

Seth got up, and said, "She's not my girlfriend. I find her interesting because she's a client and she sleeps above her covers. Four FEET above her covers, I'll add. She barks, she drools, she claws-"

"It's not the girl Seth," said Braedey, "It's the building! Something terrible is about to enter our world, and this building is obviously the key!

"The architect's name was Ivo Shandor. I found it in Tobin's Spirit Guide. He was also a doctor who performed a lot of un-nceccesary surgeries. Then, in 1920, he started up a secret society."

"Let me guess," said Seth, "Gozer worshippers?"

"Yes," said Braedey, "After the first World War, Shandor decided that humanity was too sick to survive."

The group noticed that the prisoners, the officers, even the security camera operator seemed interested in what he was saying.

"But he wasn't alone," continued Dr. Martin, "He had close to a thousand followers when he died, if not more. They conducted rituals on the roof of the building, intended to bring the end, of the world, and it looks like, it's about to happen!!"

Seth then said, "I..... don't like the outcome of this."

"We need to get out of here," said Titan.

"Seth," said David, "You talk to the mayor! He's your cousin, right?"

"Yeah, but.... I don't know if he'll listen to me!" said Seth.

"Wait a minute!" George comments. "Are we seriously about to go looking for a federal judge and say that some un holy Babylonian god is gonna drop in on Central Park West and start tearing up the city??!???"

"Sumerian, not Babylonian," said Braedey.

"THIS IS NO TIME FOR TINY CORRECTIONS!!" said Seth, panicking, and shaking Braedey like crazy, "WE'RE STUCK, IN HERE, AND WE ARE NOT GETTING OUT ANY TIME SOON!!!"

"Hey, Ghostbusters!" said an officer, "Mayor wants to see you."

Meanwhile, Vinz arrived at Central Park West, and climbed up the building to find Zuul waiting for her.

The door to Amy's apartment swung open, and Vinz said, "I am the keymaster."

"I am the gatekeeper," said Zuul.

The two walked over to each other and went into a deep kiss. Then, they looked at a nearby set of stairs that led to the roof, looked at each other, and then began going up the stairs.

Later, the Ghostbusters arrived at the Mayor's office, and a younger version of Seth, with a smaller head was seen as the mayor.

"Seth, is that you?" asked the mayor.

"Hey Aden," said Seth, "Look at you, mayor."

"And, where's this Silver man?" asked Aden.

"I am Ryth Silver, sir, and i'm prepared to make a full report." Ryth comments as he walked over and plopped a file down on the table. They could see he had a black eye from Braedey. "These men are consumate snowball artists. They use sensitive nerve gasses to enduce hallucinations. People think they're seeing ghosts and they call these bozos who conveniently show up to deal with the problem with a fake electronic light show."

"Everything was fine with the powergrid, until dickless here shut it off," said David.

"These men caused an explosion!!" said Ryth.

Aden looked at the Ghostbusters, asking, "Seth, is this true?"

"...... Yes Cuz, it's true," said Seth, "This man has no dick."

Ryth then nearly attacked Seth, if it hadn't been for the officers holding him back.

"All I know for sure is that was no light show going around the city this morning, sir." said an officer, "Me and all the forces I have worked with has seen every form of combustion known to man. And this beats the hell outta me."

"The walls in the 53rd Preseicnct were bleeding." A soldier said to Ryth. "how do you try to explain that?"

"Um, sir," said Sean, "I am Sean Chow, and this is George Pertwee."

"We've only been with the company for a few days now," said George, "And... let me tell you, these things, are real."

"I have seen things that will scare the pants off of you," said Sean.

Aden looked at them, as Seth said, "Aden, you can believe Silver, but if you do, then something horrible, something of biblical proportions will occur."

"Wait, what do you mean, 'biblical'?" asked Aden.

"What he means, Mayor, is Old Testimate, real wrath of god levels," said Titan, "The dead rising from the grave!"

"Rivers and seas boiling!" put in Braedey.

"Fire and Brimstone falling from the Heavens!" said David.

"500 years of darkness!" said George.

"Decades of earthquakes and volcanos!" said Sean.

"Human sacrifices, dogs and cats living together, MASS HYSTERIA!!!" finished Seth.

"ALRIGHT!!" said Aden, "But what if you're wrong?"

"IF WE'RE WRONG, NOTHING HAPPENS!!"  said Seth, "We go to jail, quietly, peacefully, but we'll enjoy it! But if we're right, then we CAN stop this. Aden, as your family, I ask you, to trust in me."

Aden looked at Seth, and the two stared, and Aden smiled, hugging his cousin, saying, "I love you man."

"I don't believe you're seriously considering listening to these men." said Ryth.

"Get him out of here," said Aden.

The officers escorted Ryth out of the building, and Aden asked, "So, what do you need from me?"
