LUNA

A knock sounded from the door, and I flinched in surprise. The daze of trauma I was momentarily stuck in immediately evaporated the minute I heard someone knocking from outside.

"Luna? Are you done?...I kind of need a little help over here." Alec's voice resonated through the door, and my heart suddenly skipped a beat.

I glanced down at the towel still wrapped around my body and then at the door again. I don't have time to change right now, plus, it sounded urgent.

I tightened the towel under my arm before padding across the tile floor and reaching for the doorknob. I paused for a moment and then quickly opened it.

Alec almost fell inside the bathroom the minute I opened the door. He leaned heavily against the side, clutching his arm, which, to my horror, was oozing with blood.

"Oh my God, your arm!" I cried before grabbing his side and pulling him in.

I helped him towards the bathroom counter, and he quickly jumped up to sit on top. I quickly opened the cabinets below and started pulling out the first-aid kit I found inside.

I started to undo the old bandage he had around his arm and carefully removed it, earning a painful hiss from Alec.

"I'm sorry." I quickly apologized while sparing him a quick glance.

Beads of sweat dotted his forehead and his temples; his lips were slightly parted, and his chest was heaving up and down.

"It's fine. Just keep going." He said breathlessly.

I bit the side of my lip as I carefully started to clean his wound. I tried not to flinch when he groaned in pain; the veins on his arm popped out when he gripped the edge of the counter while trying to take in the sting from the rubbing alcohol.

"This will only take a second." I quickly reassured him, and his eyes briefly locked with mine.

My face started to feel warmer the longer he stared at me, and I quickly looked away to avoid his eyes. But a few seconds later, I couldn't help but meet his eyes again.

We've had a few moments where we're this close to each other, but this was the first vulnerable moment I've ever had with him that just puts a pause on everything happening around us.

I have never been fascinated by a man's eyes before till now.

It felt like he was staring right through me, but the way he slowly searches my eyes with his got me stuck in this trance and made me wonder if he feels it too or not.

He immediately confirmed it when he placed his hand over mine right after I finished wrapping his wound with a fresh layer of bandages.

I froze; my eyes immediately wandered back to his, and they stopped there. Just as my heart nearly did when he slowly sat upright on top of the counter.

I didn't realize I was still clutching the scissors and roll of bandages tightly in my hand until he slowly took them away.

"You're in a towel." He suddenly stated, his voice all raspy and breathless.
