Blood... it was everywhere. The metallic smell filled the air. Burnt bodies everywhere, and then there was her... You found yourself standing before a woman who towered over you, her eyes filled with tears as she gazed at you.
She held a flame in her hand and took a step closer, but her features remained indistinct and blurry, leaving you confused and disoriented. You struggled to remember anything about her, but your mind drew a blank. Suddenly, she waved her hand, and a surge of fire engulfed your entire field of vision.
You jolted awake, gasping for breath and drenched in sweat, realizing you had fallen asleep on Appa's saddle that night. Your head throbbed with pain as you tried to recall the strange dream you had just experienced, but the memories seemed to slip away from your grasp, leaving you feeling frustrated and confused.
Your heart raced as you jolted awake to the sound of Sokka's blood-curdling scream. Panic set in as you quickly leaped off the saddle, ready to defend yourself and your comrades from an impending attack. "Who's hurt? What's going on?!" you demanded, your voice shaking with fear.
You saw Sokka lying face down on the ground, still wrapped in his sleeping bag. Aang stood next to him, giggling uncontrollably, while Katara sat atop Appa, looking at you with amusement and confusion.
Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment as Aang explained they had played a harmless prank on Sokka to wake him up. You let out a heavy sigh of relief as you realized that no one was hurt.
As you approached the campfire, you gazed at the flickering flames before you made a quick decision. You lifted your leg and kicked the embers, causing them to scatter.
You then put out the remaining fire by smothering it with dirt. Once satisfied that the fire was completely out, you gathered the remaining wood and threw it into the nearby tall grass, along with the rocks.
Your friend Katara looked at you perplexed and asked, "Uh, Y/n, what are you doing?" You replied, "I'm ensuring we don't leave a trail. Who knows how many people would try to follow us once they realize the Avatar is back? I can't let Zuko find us." You muttered the last part to yourself as you flattened the ground where the campfire was.
Next, you turned to Sokka, still curled in his sleeping bag. You slung him over your shoulder and climbed onto Appa's saddle. Sokka started to wiggle around, protesting that you should let him go, but you ignored his pleas. Once you were on the saddle, you placed Sokka down beside you.
"Let's ride!" you yelled, and Aang quickly climbed onto Appa's head with a cheerful "Yip yip." As Appa took off into the sky, you couldn't help but feel a sense of relief.
You knew the journey ahead would be difficult, but you were determined to protect your friends and keep them safe from harm.
