You were sitting cross-legged on the ground, absentmindedly twirling a strand of your hair around your finger. Sokka was crouched over a pile of dry leaves and twigs, trying to start a campfire.
You watched him for a few minutes, trying to contain your amusement as he fumbled with the rocks he used to create sparks. You offered to help, but he stubbornly refused, insisting he knew what he was doing.
After several more failed attempts, Sokka let out a frustrated groan and flung the rocks aside. That's when you decided to take matters into your own hands. "My turn," You said, picking up the stones and expertly scraping them together, creating a tiny spark.
You did it again, using Firebending to ignite the dry leaves and twigs. The flames quickly spread, warming your skin and illuminating the area around you.
You sat back, feeling smug as Sokka stared at you in disbelief. "Okay, you cheated!" he accused, pointing a finger at you. You couldn't help but grin at his reaction. "Just admit you suck at lighting a campfire," you teased, leaning in close to him. He shoved you away playfully, muttering something under his breath.
Aang and Katara returned to the campsite, carrying armfuls of wood for the campfire. "Hey, you got it going! Nice job, Sokka!" Aang exclaimed, looking at the flames dancing in the firepit. You stood up, crossing your arms over your chest, eager to set the record straight.
"Actually, it was me who did it," you corrected. "Sokka struggled for around ten minutes and still couldn't create a spark, while it took me only a couple of seconds." Sokka slumped over, muttering curses under his breath. Aang let out a small 'oh' as he placed the wood he held into the fire.
As you settled back down, Katara sat beside you, her eyes fixed on your ankle. "How's your ankle doing?" she asked with concern.
You pulled your leg out from under your body, turning it around to get a good look. "It's feeling a little better," you admitted. Katara nodded, unwrapping the cloth around your ankle and fetching a water bowl.
"We still need to clean it every now and then," she said, using her waterbending to draw the water from the bowl and put it around your ankle.
You watched closely as the water mixed with a little of your blood, and Katara used her bending to remove it. She then dropped the water, letting it soak into the ground beneath you.
Sitting by the flickering campfire, you looked at Katara with a warm smile. Your gaze lingered on her as she wrapped your ankle, and you couldn't help but feel proud of her progress in waterbending. With a playful tone, you remarked, "Hey, you're getting a little better with your waterbending."
Katara's cheeks flushed a rosy pink as she looked away, fiddling with her hair. "Thanks. I've been practicing," she replied, soft and shy. You nudged her gently with your body, a mischievous glint in your eye.
