------------Chapter 20------------
~Oblivia's PoV~
And so, I heard that there was something dubbed a "T-Day" today, I believe that it is today in short. Akuma told me that it was the same with a day-off, how unexpected.
I am currently staring at the ceiling, with the only sounds I hear being the drip drop of little water droplets outside my window. I sat up from the bed and thought what would happen to me if I'd leave this place after the rain stops? I'd like to explore this place a little and learn how things really go by here.
~Akuma's PoV~
"T-Day huh?" I threw my arms behind my head. "It's the first time I ever heard something as idiotic as that."
"Well look who's talking," Sabritel, who is right beside me, commented, I shrugged it off.
"Shedan doesn't really say anything like that, right? I mean you stayed here for a longer time than I did," Sabritel sighed as I stopped talking.
"Shedan never said anything like that, ever," Sabritel said. "But something seems fishy," he continued that puzzled me.
"Like, how fishy? Very or lightly?"
"About Maloch and him," I grasped.
"Don't tell m-"
"They don't have a relationship!" Sabritel shouted aggressively. "Something's mysteriously off," Shedan said when he calmed down. "More off than what happened years ago," Sabritel said in a softer and lower voice, but I still heard it.
"Say what?" I asked.
"Nothing," Sabritel diverted his eyes to the window. "Look, it stopped raining."
'What a great diversion topic!' I sweatdropped.
~Oblivia's PoV~
The sky finally stopped crying, I got up from the bed then I grabbed my katana and my Spell Pocketbook. The fact that the rain-pours here lasted no more than an hour bothered me, for back in Irmania, rains would usually last for about three or more hours. I opened my door quietly, avoiding circumstances in which I might disturb anyone.
I quickly made my way for the entrance to Shedan's palace and exit from there.
"Oh no, the gate's locked," finding the gate locked wasn't a complete surprise for me. It was a day-off today, so more likely the guards ran off somewhere or did other errands.
I draw out my katana and used its blade to try and figure out the keyhole on the weighty padlock. Several tries later, I managed to unlock the padlock but breaking it in the process.
"I'm good as dead," I knelt down, concerned about the lock. A memory flashed in my mind, the Restoration spell can help me here!
~Omniscient View~
As Sabritel and Akuma continue to walk through the sunlit corridor, they caught sight of Oblivia casting her Restoration spell over the broken padlock from the open window.
"Finally! I'm not the only one who broke the padlocks in these place," Akuma said with a big grin, happy for the fact that he was not the lone lock destroyer.
"But you're the only padlock destroyer who can't repair it," Sabritel's statement made Akuma sulk, but also lit up a bright spark of idea inside Akuma's mind. As Akuma was about to jump over the window, Sabritel grabbed hold of Akuma's shirt for he knew well what the younger boy's plan was.
Oblivia was finally able to restore the padlock into its former state before she broke it with the tip of her katana's blade. She grabbed the seemingly undamaged lock by her hand and used her other to open the gate and get herself out.
Oblivia bent down to lock the gate before going out to the unknown world filled with demons.
The two boys exchanged glances, nobody might've told Oblivia that she can borrow the keys for the gate's lock from Maloch. Out of curiosity and concern for the girl's actions, the two decided to borrow the keys from Maloch and used it to open the lock.
"What do you need it for?" was Maloch's stern question.
"We want to get out of this place," Sabritel answered.
"The answer is no."
"Please, you can get a whole day free from us!"
Akuma's statement earned him a glare from Sabritel and a "yes" from Maloch.
"Here you go," Maloch's big paws placed the keys on Akuma's tiny hands. Maloch violently closed the door after him.
Before the two boys get going, Sabritel looked at Akuma, as Akuma replied with an annoying grin which created an irk mark on Sabritel's cheek.
The two boys proceeded to the front gate, Akuma unlocked the lock successfully. The two boys slipped out of the gate then Akuma locked the gate once more. He handed the keys to Sabritel for safekeeping.
"We're out of the palace, what now?" Akuma looked at Sabritel.
"There's a question running around my head right now."
"What is it?"
"Where you think she is now?"
I almost slappedmyself.
