------------Chapter 17------------
~Oblivia's PoV~
The cold wind blew past my window and woke me up from my deep sleep. It was my fourth day here at Jaquaña, I rubbed my half-open eyes.
"Good morning, mistress!" Nakara's voice ringed from the pendant.
"Good morning," I whispered with a yawn. As soon as my yawn had retreated, a familiar bell rang through the whole palace. It was a normal day today, I guess. No new people coming.
I got myself ready with a simple gothic styled black and silver knee-high dress and a pair of boots just below the knee. I added the special pendant to complete the look yet I hid it under my blouse, which incredibly reaches it.
I walked out my room and went directly to the dining hall.
Unbelievably, I smelled good scents coming from it. It was unbearable, so I fastened my pace and opened the grand door to the dining hall. Everybody stopped from eating and looked at me which pissed me a little, they continued to eat after I have closed the door. I quietly made my way to a seat beside Sabritel, which is the right side of Shedan's chair. Someone was missing again, it was obvious who it was for his appearance and physique is very distinguishable from the rest. I started eating once I adjusted myself to my seat. Out of the blue, Shedan stopped eating and he swallowed every bit of food in his mouth.
"Today, I will alternate your tasks," I stopped eating to listen, as do the two.
"Akuma, I need you to train my army."
"Hai," he salutes.
"Sabritel, take your time guarding the dungeons."
"I understand," he was serious. Why so?
"And Oblivia," I divert my eyes to Shedan. "I'd like you to know everybody in this world so I will assign you to check the visitors and residents here," he said, that would make my search for him easier. "Sabritel would take you there," he gestures towards Sabritel. "After breakfast."
Since we all knew what to do for the day, we quickly are our breakfasts and disport ourselves to our respective tasks, excluding Sabritel who was ordered to guide me to my "workplace" first.
~Sabritel's PoV~
"So," she glanced at me stoically as I start a conversation. "What brought you here?"
"Huh?"
"I mean, why are you here at Jaquaña?" it was a worthwhile question for Jaquaña isn't a friendly place. It was the worst place to be with all the hardships it comes with.
"It's urgent matter, none of your business," it was a response I wasn't expecting but by the look on her face, it was clearly obvious she didn't want to push any further. I sighed, letting go of that conversation.
"It is the first time we talk formally," she nods her head.
"Our first was not good," she added.
"Yes, and it was because of Akuma."
"You keep on blaming all of it on Akuma," she pointed out.
"Yup, because his ways are getting in my way and he's awfully playful."
Somewhere, Akuma had just sneezed.
"Are you alright, Akuma-san?"
"Yeah, I think I am."
The two continued their walk silently.
~Nakara's PoV~
As I sipped my cup of tea and calm down inside my room. I have this sense that someone I know is near and it can't be right since I was always with mistress Victoria yet this doesn't happen.
Right now, I am not able to see who would that person be, for mistress had covered my room. I can hear voices yet they are muffled and seem to collide with each other.
"I can't even speak to mistress directly, might just ask later," I whispered to myself as a place down my tea and rest for a while.
~Omniscient View~
Soon after, Oblivia and Sabritel arrived at Oblivia's respected destination. Sabritel opened the lights and the door for Oblivia.
"You'll need to check their datas and other things, got it?" Oblivia nods. Sabritel sets up a few things and leaves after.
Oblivia checked out the files inside the cabinets and the computer resting at a side. She tried searching for his name everywhere, yet she was unsuccessful. Oblivia looked around then she took out her special necklace.
"So, Nakara, do you think he changed his name?" Oblivia whispered.
"Yes, mistress," with that, Nakara started thinking about a name or someone who he really liked. Oblivia, in the other hand, was doing her best in searching for a name she unknowingly thinks. Lucky for her, each profile comes with a picture and a background and some other things.
'Are these guys, stalkers?' she thought as she ran through different profiles in search for him. She saw one suspicious profile.
"Nakara, do you think he would change his name to an Austrian-born German politician who was the leader of the Nazi Party in around 18's of the Earth's Germany?"
"Off course no!" Nakara reacted.
"How about a Russian politician who once led Earth's Soviet Union?"
"No!"
"These files doesn't say anything we want to find, it is worthless," Oblivia sits down on the floor, surrendering to the fact that what she wanted was hard to reach. "I'll just finish what I'm told to do," so she just decided to nag about the photos and the profiles of each resident and laughs at their failed photo profiles, cause she can't stop it very badly.
