UNFORTUNATELY, TODAY was the day walker had to head back home. i know he was coming back literally in two weeks, but i was still really sad. i was enjoying his company so much. i was going to miss him.

we were on the way to the airport and i was barely talking. i know if im not going to see him for a little while i should prob be yapping it up, right? i wish, but that's not how i work. whenever i get sad or anxious i completely shut down. i just ignore everyone.

"im going to be back soon princess i promise, there's no need to stress." walker broke the silence. i still didn't look at him. i swear im not a bitch, im just an odd person to examine, i guess.

"ill text and call you all the time, okay? i promise you." i simply nodded and finally turned to give him a soft smile and then turned my head back towards the window.

a few seconds later, he grabbed my hand and squeezed it. i snapped my head to look at him and found he was pretty red. good lord he was so cute. he wasn't looking at me so i squeezed his hand back, signaling i appreciated his efforts to calm me down.

we drove the rest of the ride in silence, but our hands still interlocked. i 100% was blushing, although i don't think walker noticed, thankfully.

when we finally got to the airport, me and walker just kind of looked at each other for a little bit. i swear he did the triangle method (ifykyk), but im probably tripping.

i cleared my throat and looked in the back seat. "do you want me to grab your stuff for you?" i looked back at him and he looked sad. i think we were both upset that he was leaving. we were each others best company at this point.

"no it's okay princess, i've got it don't worry." we both got out of the car simultaneously. walker opened the back door to grab his suitcase. i frowned, but quickly pulled myself together.

he grabbed his suitcase and came around to the other side of the car to meet me face to face for the last time before he flew back to pennsylvania.

"i'm going to miss you, my princess." my?

"i'm going to miss you more, my pretty boy." i took him in my arms and engrossed him in a hug. i made sure to take in his scent before he left. he smelled like a spicy vanilla, with a hint of lavender. in easier terms, he smelled like heaven.

he let me go and looked at me one last time. we just stood there, staring at each other. niether of us wanted to go home alone.

i cleared my throat. "you're going to miss your flight. as much of a dread - oh i meant pleasure -" he scoffed at my joke and i laughed. "that it would be to keep you hostage, you have to go home." he nodded.

"i don't want to leave you." i gave him a small smile. have i ever mentioned how cute he is?

"you'll be back soon, walker. don't be dramatic." he rolled his eyes.

"oh i'll be back alright." he paused and stared at me again.

"bye love, i'll see you in two weeks." he flashed me a cheeky wink and turned to walk into the airport. i was beet red. what the hell did he just say?
