"Teka, anong banda ba ang sasalihan mo?" tanong sa akin ni Davin nang makalabas kami mula sa building ng STEM.

"Kahit saan. As long as ther signing up list is open."

I roam my gaze around the field. All of the students seemed to be very busy today.

Davin and I continued to walk across the pathways shaded by the umbrella trees to avoid being overheated by the sun. Our footsteps were a bit slow because I'm also looking for Rio.

Since kakilala ko naman siya, edi doon na ako magpalista muna sa banda. At isa pa, inimbitahan niya rin naman ako so it wouldn't hurt to try it again.

But now, I still couldn't believe that I would actually sign up to join a band. Well, there's nothing wrong with giving it another shot, right? Let's just see how it turns out. A part of me wants to back out already. I just hope I won't end up regretting this decision. I hope so.

Since Davin was the one who prompted me to do it, all I know is that he's the one to blame for this. Siya naman talaga. Why am I even still dragging him along with me? Now he's caught up in all this, too. For all I know, he probably has things to do, and I might have already taken up his time. Should I just tell him not to come with me anymore? Bukod sa mambwisit, ano pa kaya ang hilig niyang gawin?

"Red! Bruha ka!"

Mabilis akong lumingon kay Edorina na nagmamadaling lumapit sa akin. She was holding a bottle of Sting on her left hand, and then a piece of empanada on her right hand.

That's my go-to snack whenever I need something to wake me up. I feel like coffee just doesn't hit sometimes. But it's not like I always have that same snack. It just happens once in a while.

"Ang galing mong bruha ka! Saan ka ba nanggaling?! Oh, magmeryenda ka na!" sunod-sunod niyang wika.

Tipid akong ngumiti, medyo nagpapa-cute lang sa kanya. Mukha pa naman siyang stress, dahil siguro kakahanap sa akin mula pa kanina.

"Sorry na." I smiled at her. "Thank you."

"H'wag kang guman'yan-gan'yan! Hindi mo ako madadala d'yan!" nagmamaktol niyang sabi habang nakahalukipkip. She's sulking, I know. Sanay naman na ako sa inaasta niyang 'to kaya natawa na lang ako.

"I went to get my wallet back from Renzler, okay?" kalmado kong paliwanag, trying to sound convincing. "Sorry na."

Sana tumalab ang charm ko sa bruha na 'to. Pero alam ko namang hindi ako matitiis ni Edorina. Siya pa ba?

"And by the way..." I suddenly stole a glance at Davin. He had stepped a bit away from me and Edo, casually letting his eyes wander around the place like he was purposely giving us space to talk. "He's Davin. Kasama ko siya... kanina pa."

Edorina let out a loud gasp. Her eyes formed wide, and her jaw almost dropped. She didn't see this coming. Gets ko 'yong reaction niya, pero OA lang?!

"Red, napakabruha mo! Kasama mo siya? So you know him after all?!" Lumingkis siya sa 'kin. She was trying to process it all.

"Shh, huwag ka ngang OA," sita ko sa kanya at inalis ang pagkakalingkis niya sa akin. Grabe naman kasi siyang maka-react. "Hindi naman gano'n 'yon. Nagkataon lang."

"Friend niya nga pala si Ambrocio, 'no? Girl, mukhang nakahuli ka," she pointed out, trying to teasing me but I didn't buy it. "Ano bang gagawin niyo? May pupuntahan pa ba kayo?" she asked, emphasizing the word 'kayo'.

"Ah right. I'm going to sign up to join a band," I informed her with a faint smile. It just feels right that I'm finally admitting it to others, and to myself, that I'm joining a band again. I just hope it all turns out well.
